A quick point that I wanted to bring up to those who seem to be misinformed.

The Junker Tag, in combination with any of the possible IDs, smuggler or Junker, is NOT an excuse to avoid getting pirated.

End of story, no debate.

If you aren't bring goods to an unlawful base, or helping a pirate faction in some overt manner, expect to get stopped, and at least asked about where you are going with your cargo. We may be a little more lenient on you than other traders in terms of how much we ask for, but do not expect any other benefits.

And I think people also need to realize Smuggler ID is the same.. Neither Junker tag/ID, nor Smuggler ID will allow you to skip out of being pirated. Even if you say that load of 5,000 Niobium is due for Omicron Alpha, and it doesn't help when your flying towards Rheinland..

.:J:. those guys are nice, they pay for pass without asking (most of them), and I know few junkers which do same... I personaly dont tax junkers if they are transporting junker-like (RP) stuff which is scrap metal, plutonium, parts of something etc. because we (RHA) are using their facilities. Rest must pay... junker isnt something special.

I make extensive use of Junker bases in all my unlawfulls, so I generally let them go. Can't logically kill a junker for not paying then dock on one of their stations.

-edit- has to be junker tagged and id'ed for me to let em go though.

As the 'official' leader of .:j:., I say shoot those Junkers who don't pay. False Junkers are as bad if not worse than false Zoners.

I don't know how often I've been puttering about Rochester when a Junker tagged Advanced Train comes barrelling in from Alaska with 4995 Artifacts, a Navy wing hot on his heels and he speed docks. This is almost as bad as Manhattan in general RP, and far worse for Junkers in general. I'll often be asked by said Junker to help cover his escape.

(Side note: These are the guys we're happy to hand over on a silver platter if 'pressured'.)

Indeed, I have rank across many Junkers who thought they can avoid being pirated while on a lawful trade route.

*True*, To let some traders know. Pirates do not look for just pirating you. They check your Identification, and Tag. Not just your cargo. Also, Even if your shipping goods to the Pirates Friendly Base. When they even ask to stop for a scan. Or even just say Halt, <You get the generalization>. Pirates don't all take just your credits. They look for RP, From the Trader. Also, you do as the pirate says. Often times <Not all> You'll be let off with a shorter amount than what they can get off of you.
