well - they come with their own enemies - so there s no need to import enemies. when gallia pops up - its less about any factions cause to go there. - but about interests of opportunity.
many a faction has maybe an interest ( except the ideolistic factions that fight for their rights in a set enviroment - like bundschuh, unioners, xenos, rogues etc. )
some of the "global" factions like corsairs and outcasts have certainly reason to go to gallia to at least check out what they can gain there. - that doesn t mean they are welcome... both, outcasts AND corsairs would probably be shot by both, the gallia lawfuls AND the gallia unlawfuls - unless they have to offer something gallia wants. ( artifacts / cardamine )
on the other hand - gallia can itself look for opportunities ( a doorway usually opens up to both directions ) - so factions they can profit from are the BHG ( which has great knowledge about the part of sirius that was before hidden from gallia - more knowledge or different knowledge than the junkers provided ) - zoners can provide them with the same - but on a slightly different level.
gallia might even have an agreement with the LSF.. or the order if they know of the order at all. ( not sure how much informations the junkers can provide about the order - if the junkers were their main source of information )
official house forces would most probably of course NOT travel there - but diplomats and ambassadors may very well travel to and fro gallia.

I'm going to guess the following:
-Junkers,
-Zoners,
-Bounty Hunters, Freelancers and Mercenaries,
-Explorers with neutral reps,
-Admins (obviously!),
-Traders,
-Nomads(?)
Those are the factions that i am assuming have the proper role-play to, am i right?
Just as a guess, I'd also expect to see pirates heading in there for potential profits, since they're not going to know what's available. One question would be - since the trade lanes in Gallia would not have been built with Ageira sanctioned parts, but with parts the Junkers have 'salvaged' - are they going to look the same, and just how irritated is Ageira going to be at them?
I see the Junkers becoming much LESS popular in some house spaces than they already are.
And I've a freelancer that, while he doesn't 'know' that something is coming up, has heard rumors and is excited and ready to head in there.
You forgot Bowex! Since Borderworld Exports is known for being a pioneer in exploration, we're likely to be among the first groups to find the JH's into Gallia.
The Order may send a few scout parties into gallia to try and gain a new ally against the nomads/phantoms, and look for additional alien ruins or technologies. They wont be our primary focus, of course, but we'll see what happens =P
*ahem* Cryer of course, they've been so long without any high grade medicinal goods. they either have a market, or a rival there. Plus the chemical research to conduct on their nebulas

Or Psychotic Maniacs looking to get his hands on all those innocent lives that til now have been out of his deadly grasp. :D

interesting question indeed

seeing as the junkers are not all connected to each other, i would imagine that not all junkers would be connected to the ones that have been spying for Gallia.
i'm Rp'n my junker so that he's completely unaware of Gallia and if he's heard rumors of something the junkers are doing he couldn't care less. sure he's a junker but he's a bit of a hermit, choosing to concern himself with...well himself more than anything else.
the problem the junkers have is the same that the BHG has. - only a very small minority of the junkers are spies for gallia ( as well as only a very small minority of the BHG are ex-criminals ) ... but the whole faction ( in RP ) will be blamed for that. ( and sometimes ooc, too )
so the junkers as a whole will suffer from gallias existence one way or another - and it won t matter if they knew about it or not. - if such an event happened in RL - ppl would bunch up against all junkers in general. ( as seen in RL - when there is a problem with a minority... humans tend to label all that broadly fall into that category with the same brush )

i see your point. i'll be interested to see how this all turns out. my hopes are that it is all positive, meaning that's it's not doodoo. i guess i'll "just have to wait and see" when 4.85 comes out in 2010 :D
