Pops to Romer

It's amazing, lad! With that Gran Canaria sun and soil, our little seedlings are popping up with great vim and vigor. I expect an accelerated growing cycle, with 3 to 4 crops per season!

As to the "complimentary" aspect: You know me, Romer. I'd be charging an arm and a leg for the product, and smiling the while; but my business associate has an interesting motto - "The first one's free..."

Sample, Hell! Drop over and get your face down in it!

I'm a little busy repairing the Viper on Waterloo. I recommend moving to the Bretonian address for the time being, at least until the unfortunately delayed completion of the 'Eagle'. We got to protect our interests in Bretonian space. I'll be talking to the local cavalry command and offer assistance.

If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God? - from 'Nightfall' by I. Asimov
The Outcasts consider Siniestre Nube a sacred place for several reasons. Early explorers discovered a jumphole within the depths of the cloud that leads to a strange world of ringed stars and strange craft. All ships in the burrial ground are placed facing that hole to honor the Alien Spirits. - An Outcast rumor

It seems there is a particular battleship captain who has it out for us. Even now, as I send this message, the battleship [FR]Liberator is stalking around outside Corfu waiting for me. Too bad for him, this particular bar is well stocked and quite cozy. It seems to me that trade in and around Theta may have to be rerouted until this menace passes, or the AW actually step up and defend the commerce that the citizens rely on.

Drinkage continues...

If he's demanding your cargo I suggest you tell him to check his 'how to pirate 101' manual.

Otherwise...

Where the bloody hell is the AW when you need them?!

I mean come on, if they want us to keep bringing those slaves... er crewers for them they'll have to provide alot better security.

WHATTHEHELLAGE ends...

Thanks for the 411. Apparently we were luckier yesterday.

I lifted from Newark, headed for my new duty assignment, when I encountered the [IND]Caylith by chance. I escorted her to Corfu, with little to note save lots of Corsair raider patrols in 13, 17, and Theta (which we ignored.. buggers).

Our next leg was also uneventful, and I left the Caylith at Cambridge, thence proceeding on to Waterloo to report in.

On another note, Romer, any word on the pricing structure for non-IND escort contracts? I've had several opportunities to offer the services of the Epsilon Wing, but have not done so, as I didn't want to gouge the Marks too deeply, and damage our reputation. I thought 5% of gross would be a fair commission, but I'm awaiting clarification from Epsilon Command.

I too have had a run in with this [FR]Liberator at Corfu this morning. Romer had already seen his presence and warned me about him. As he approached and got into range of his BS weapons. He immediately fired on my ravons Talon. No warning, no piracy attempt. He was not tagged to any faction, though upon hailing him, he says he's a Xenos, and its flashing on his Rep. As I had just spent over 10 mil on gear thru unknown systems to here. I did not engage him. On my next encounter I will have my chance to test his BS against my Hvy Fighter.

Reportage Ends

Looking into returning, maybe.

I was foolish enough to try my hand at fighting his battleship, feeling a bit inspired by the shiny new Nova Antimatter Cannon that my ship was sporting. I say foolish, because it was just that. The cannon had very little effect on his shields, and I was summarily dispatched. I believe more effective tactics ,and hardware, will be available to us in the near future.

Gripeage ends.

(OOC: [FR]Liberator is simply here to fly around in a battleship and brag about how many players he can kill. He's apparently not here to RP at all. I suggest we avoid him like the plague.)

I have a ship fully set for blasting a BS shield to bits, and finishing it after (I hope) as well. I just don't know if I can avoind his big guns long enough, lol. I have taken a Nomad BS, and a few BH ships big enough to eat me. I haven't tried a 'Tricked' BS yet though. I think that with the help of one more person, I am confident that we could take his bs out and deliver him to his maker. I will keep a look out for him and WILL find him time and again to try my luck. Any fighter vs BS fight is a risky one at best. But I will prevail, eventually...

Ralliage complete

Looking into returning, maybe.
