you should probably read and understand the rules before you try to recite them. You certainly may post in the faction request forum before you request to be official. Its step 3 in the process, step 5 is paying the 500 million. Please be more constructive in your criticism.

Hmm, I guess I find it a bit odd that you are using Order tags and ID's and yet the Order itself is only Neutral...

Zoners are allied to the Order so I'm a bit confused about this. Maybe pirate ID's suit you better? I don't know.

My main concern here is that if you fly all over Sirius demanding and destroying everything that is Alien, (which would include some Bs| ships themselves such as our research vessel) you might give the impression that the Order are terrorists which is something we've worked to avoid and I would have us labeled like that.

Have you considered other ID's?

How 'bout a Merc ID? A group of mercenaries, brought together by the loss of family in the freeport 7 disaster, affiliated with the order, working tirelessly to rid Sirius of the alien presence. Would give you the reason to (in-rp) detest those who use alien technology, ships, run artefacts, etc etc

Here is what we saw and how we interpreted it.

1) Each faction has only one leader. Leader must have at least one character of level 60 or above.

1 is to have a Faction Leader at level 60.

2) Leader should choose an ID tag that all members of the group will get after level 40.

2 is to have an ID and IFF idea.

3) Post your faction idea in Faction feedback forum. Ask about admins' opinion! This will help you on next stage.

3 is to get community feedback. When we have had community feedback and seem to be getting to an acceptable RP, we then contact admins and try to refine the RP to fit within the rules. This is clearly not how it works, since there appears to be rules against admins sitting down and discussing with us before our faction proposal is rejected. Our understanding of the interaction between 3 and 4 isn't quite good. Right now I believe our approach is the way we are supposed to be doing things, so we will continue doing as we have done to date.

4) To start the process of approval, you need to pay 500 million credits to admins. Note that if your faction will not be approved, you won't be refunded. This means that you need to prepare well before applying.

4 is to pay a bunch of money. Our interpretation of the rules was such that if we had followed 1-3 and listened to what people said, 4 wouldn't be an enormous waste of money. Our experience shows us that getting 3 done without "greasing palms" with 500 million doesn't work very well. We still managed to extract enough out of the admins to know that there wasn't a chance in heck that our previous faction creation would pass. Special RP is reserved for individuals, not factions. This is why the Legion of Armageddon will not be doing a breakaway order faction. We are currently reviewing other options, and will be revising our RP and continuing the process of 3 when we have something to present.

5) Post your faction description, ID status, RP story, member list, diplomatic relations with all or most other factions, and any other information you see fit in the Faction Creation forums:

Your request may be discussed by other members and administrators. Only an administrator can approve or disapprove the faction creation. If the faction will not be approved, reasons will be posted. If the idea didn't come through the first time, you might still get a chance to improve it and get approved.

This is where we go when we are done working with the community to get an RP that is ready to be reviewed as a faction. We haven't reached this step yet.

6) After the faction has 5 or more members (characters on different accounts), leader should post in Discovery Faction Status thread. Requirements for post are listed in the thread itself (see first post).

This will be done if and when we have approval. We meet this requirement easily.


Below these are the home system stuff. We did not want a home system with our previous RP request, and do not anticipate wanting one for any other RPs we are considering. As such, none of it really applies.

We cannot demand that cargo be dropped as mercenaries. This was confirmed through contact with Admins. RP does not dictacte actions, ID does. Likewise killing Nomad using people without a contract would also be against the rules.

Mercenary ID
Pilot carrying this ID is a Mercenary.
Mercenaries can:
* Escort traders/smugglers
* Hunt pirates and terrorists across Sirius
* Fulfil lawful and unlawful bounty contracts
* Take part in lawful and unlawful military actions
Mercenaries cannot:
* Trade on a regular basis
* Pirate on a solo basis
Allowed ships: Fighters, Bombers, Freighters, Gunboats
Carrying unmounted IDs in your ship, as well as not equipping an ID, is a serious crime.

Can't find the current ID reg's for mercenary, but it says 'Cannot pirate or trade on a regular basis'
Demanding cargo can either be contraband or taxation...

In about a week post #1 will be changing to reflect our changed RP status. This is still here because there still will be a need to communicate with the community in the coming weeks about our RP, but otherwise you are 100% correct Stewcool.
