I think the image he is trying to create is that he is the captain of a massive pirate ship with a blood thirsty crew, intent of robbing traders of more than just numbers in a neural net.

The same image just doesn't get across when you're pirating in a pirate train. And pirating isn't allowed in cruisers for obvious reasons.

train, prison liner, luxury liner... all sold at lawfull stations = no difference ;)

Pirate transport is small, weak and ugly = absolutly not good for "clasical" piracy. And I hate design of this ship, It is not fun to play with ship which you hate a lot.

Pirate train have weaker hull than almost all trader ships and only 1 more weapon than them - it is imposible to do piracy in this.

Pirate "cargo" ships just arent good for that job... it is irony but sadly it is true.

Nighthawk got point:)

You sir are wrong. It's an awesome ship to Pirate in. When I was running cardi with the BLS I was bringing in credits hand over fist jumping every trader I came across.

I would take a Ptrans over a Liner for piracy any day of the week, to say nothing of an appropriate ship over a lolwut ship that was chosen because of stats.

Edit: Pfft, and the thread title is calling for a "true pirate ship".

I think you failed somewhere around "Prison Liner is weak", I could be wrong. PvP is a bad choice for ships, Prison Liner is much more in RP for robbing folks than a Lux Liner. Pirate Transport rocks my world, and the P-Train sufficiently armoured runs rings around any liner. Damn thing can't run worth a damn and good luck flying it through dense asteroids. Plus Lux Liner is really, really not an RP ship for any pirate.

Dell: where is difference between Prison. liner and Lux. liner? Both are selling at lawfull planets, both was made to cary passangers... of corse there is difference P.liner is weaker.

Hood: It is one of many posibilities... I know there is bunch of stole ships, as Junker I plan to find wreck and spend some money for repairs (purchase price + maybe few milions to admins as payment for repairs and customizations.. we can say 1/3 of purchase price?)

Kambei, maybe you missed the point ... We do not do "I stole it" ships, so get a pirate train, or transport
please. That is a definitive answer.
The only reasons you have given for the Liners involve hull strengths, leading me to conclude, those choices
are purely PvP advantage ones, and little or nothing to do with roleplay whatsoever.
