I have no problem with either of them, tags or IDs, you know all my ships are properly tagged AND IDd, even the temp ones :)

That's because you know and respect the rules, Night.
@Qunitinius: I think the faction ID price is right. It's supposed to be the result of a commitment to proper RP for a certain group. Along with the tags that now easier to obtain (as Nightfall has demonstrated), you select a group and RP it properly.
Yea I guess that works, but its still really hard to get one or it may seam a daunting task if for example, you are a new player and there are people like us saying, 'you need an ID' etc and they new guy is confused and all that other stuff

I know about the excuses for having no ID, had 'it's none of your business what I do or how I do it' as an excuse too.
Everyone should know by now that having a civilian ID when your over lvl 35 is against the rules, it's a console message so the excuse 'I had no idea' is rubbish.
Plus it's still a console message saying that the rules are listed here on the forums, but people still don't bother to read them.
Even the rule about not having an ID being against the rules is a console message, but you still see people flying around without one.
If I transfer money to a new character and it takes it to level 35 + then I pick up a freelancer ID until I can get the proper ID for it.
However, not many others do, I'm fed up with seeing player BS's without an ID and then they claim that they have no money left.
If you can afford to buy a BS you can afford to get a neutral or freelance ID before you buy the BS.
The whole point of ID's is to make it easier to identify friends and enemies, but people either don't know whose suppose to be their friends, or don't care.
Yea it is pretty anyoyong if you ask someone about it and they give you some lame excuse, Im trying to get ID on all my PMG ships right now and its pretty difficult but not that bad really. (make the IMG ID sold on Falkland!)
Its sort of getting to the point where its a bit disrespectful to Igiss, as the mod and rule
creator, and the other players who go out of their way to adhere to the server rules on
whole, when people blatantly ignore console messages telling them how it all works here,
and bothering to have a look at the readme ... What is it guys, do you think the rules don't
apply to you ?
When creating new characters, BUDGET for getting your ID and Tag, that includes bribes
and everything else that goes with it, even getting an FL or neutral one till you gain the
desired result. If you can afford the ship and weapons, you must be able to afford the
rest that goes with it.
Or ask on the forums how to go about it ... Better than being a smartass, and getting every
one else pissed about obvious rule breaking ...
Show a bit of respect please.

When making AW chars, which takes awhile to get the Zoner ID (Though I've about perfected it and I've found the secret to getting it easily) I just grab an FL or Neutral ID until I have it. Most players already know it takes time, and seeing an AW char without the Zoner ID isn't too uncommon.
