now sure its cool to land stuff on planets but the extreme size of the transport would make it unfeasible for getting out of a planets atmosphere and gravity.

It'll be able to undock fine, my lib dread has no problems, I doubt this will.

Kambei, could you please like, post some constructive criticism instead of just flat out saying it's ugly? The least you could do is point out where it doesn't look FL-ish, or what parts are ugly, instead of just wasting a small portion of forum space? :P

well people dont need to like anything our modelers make...some like it some dont...

but anyway...

ship is OK...it still has places that need to be better textured, where texture shape could be used better and places where textures are stretched too much. Model it self finally moves away from our usual perspective of transports...so i like the concept.
I would change front part a bit to make it look less like a Boeing and changed the engine looks. They are too round and too small.

I don't know why, Kambei' posts usually hurts me at some extent, unlike other's. Your sarcastic smileys, way of flatly putting negative comments just about everywhere, and total lack of consideration for the work done by the modeller is... I don't know.

Guess I am too sentimental for video game communities or something...

But back to the point, yes, it looks like a Boeing. Intentionally, I made it looks like something that might be pleasing to the eye, instead of an ugly block - which is, what people generally has come to define the low-poly models of Freelancer.
Instead of using the so called theory of "freelancer design", I went to my theory of "freelancer influence", which seems to rely on representative objects - and theme, of everyday - so let us say, the Kusari battleship is a mix of traditional japanese architecture and a jonque ship.
So, I will hear complain of oh but it looks too much like a boeing - and, so what, the Liberty dreadnaught doesn't look enough like a ship maybe?

What is seriously not "Freelancerish" - Aegera bomber, Virage, Raven Claw, Raven Talon, all those stuffs that looks like -entirely- like a modern day fighter craft, that takes no component from actual FL universe.

Holy crap! That changed alot!

Much nicer; although I don't like the wings. Try wings similar to the Libby GB. The 'boeing' shape is similar to the Eagle's fuselage, which is nice.

And why...WHY does it have tracks? They make me want to rant.. that is bad.

Land based movement. Adv Transport can't land. This one can.
Also, it is a VTOL craft. Treads are for land displacement.

Well, Xing, I really love how you think about everything around the craft, for example, those "wheels" so it would be able to move on surface. Yeah, you can't use it ingame, but it's still great how you work it into every detail. Ah, and the wings and wheels are nice, don't mind -THEM-, they have no style:)

Er... Raven Talon's from Star Wars, and doesn't really look like a fighter craft.

The design of the ship I do like, with the exception of the wheels. I dunno, I just don't like 'em. Rest's great, though.

Actually i wasn't referring to undocking ie game mechanics but rather, in a supremely geeky manner theorizing if it was a real vessel what the point of the treads would be, as a vessel so large would be hard to take out of the atmosphere, let alone land it.

@Yue, enough thrusters on the bottom of that bird lol
