I'm not a nerd...I am for all intents and purposes a sysop.

Lol last time I wasn't lagged:).... and also for the bold lettered quote above in my eyes that would have to make you a nerd ...

A very simple sig I made a bit back. Yes, it's supposed to be like that.

The Y was supposed to be cut off to give the illusion of a tear. The filter is that way because it's supposed to be an old painting, and the small text is there to make you look at it closely and read. As for the border, it was a simple lasso tool and then inverse with a cut off the edge. Then cut and pasted into a new document and saved as a GIF for the transparent background.

You fear oblivion. Yet you forget. The universe remembers every atom of your being. Even dust hums your name in the dark.
Roleplay is dead. Long live Powertraders and PvP I guess.

I actually did not know that when I put House's head on that raving rabbid. I saw lots of people putting his face on different things, and since I like House M.D., I thought, why not?:P

Honestly, the edge looks much too smooth/clean to be a tear. Remember that fabric frays, unlike paper. Try using a rough brush to erase a bit more of the edge and make it more ragged and a small pattern to make loose threads. If you want it to look like a piece of canvas torn from an old painting, you'll have to make the fabric filter much subtler and scale it down more (higher threadcount). Before you do that, put the image that you're using through the oil painting filter. It works decently.

Can someone please do the fast job of separating the middle , green avatar thingy from the rest?

I'd like to use it as an avvy.

edit- and making it a little smaller , I thing it's too big to be an avvy at the moment.

You mean that? And don't worry about its size, the forums will automatically resize it.
