M. Atalante: "It was even made, yesterday. I didn't want to carry it into the lounge, Sir."

Adm. Adama: "Well done, Lieutenant - and?"

M. Atalante: "It has been true words, you spoke, yesterday, Sir - though I had the
impression, you wanted to give us a bad feeling about our own decisions - better to follow yours...
But I decided to retire. I am not able to fight a religion, as I said, not for - not against.
As you may have found out, this morning - or yesterday - the envelope has all the paperwork in it.

My wearing of civillian clothes may show you, what I expect.
I handed out all my uniforms and the ship. Please give it to someone worth to fly it.

*Admiral Adama gives her an angry look - he can't hide his disappoinment and signs the papers.*

M. Atalante: "Yes, I bought me a large train.
I will continue the search for a new world. It's just another way to do it."

*She notices the using of her name and has to bite her tongue, not to use his.*

M. Atalante: "No, Sir. It may look like.
I still have my believes, my thoughts, my ideals. I bet, it's not one day of standing alone.
May god bless you and our civilisation, Sir. My shuttle... you know..."

Adm. Adama: "Ah, yes. You are a civillian, now. Not allowed to be here."

Madam President, our supplies are running short. It seems pirate activity has hit the PMG hard and we haven't been hitting quota lately. I haven't seen a PMG vessel in over a week. We also still have no direct source for Alien Organisms, which can be mined in the Sigmas. An aquaintance of mine has clued me into a ship dealer on New Tokyo that has a few miners for sale.

Perhaps we should look into augmenting the fleet to include mining operations. I believe 2 possibly 3 mining ships would be sufficient for our needs. In addition to trying the organism fields we could augment our income of niobium and diamonds if need be.

I don't feel this will hurt our relations with PMG, and we can still continue getting supply from them, but this will give us greater flexibility and independance. If this appropriation is approved I would recommend reassuring the PMG president Quinti 'V' that we will continue shipping operations for them with no interuptions. (OOC: when the name changes finally come through we should provide PMG with a list of our transports so they can msg us when they want to sell.)

Urgent, combat summary follows, LT. David Helion:

Cylon raiders engaged in Honshu system, origins unknown.

Cylons were harrasing passing traders when I encountered them. I engaged for aproximately 20 minutes until forced to eject. My auto repair system was malfunctioning. SAR recovered me and I returned to Galactica for a new ship. Second engagement at honshu/New Tokyo gate this time with sso support. One raider was severly disabled twice and retreated both times to New Tokyo only to return minutes later. sso wing retreated soon before a system wide solar flare disabled all ships.



mid combat scanning showed the raiders equipped with sheild busters and chainguns. Targets were highly maneuverable and difficult to hit even at close range.

Admiral Adama walks into his office and finds his in-box mostly full. Three of the documents were more viper maintenance reports about computer failures. "It seems that these new systems have been testing our electrical systems". Two were trade fleet contact reports but one was from the president's office.

I have read the Gemenon's proposal for undergoing mining projects under our own financial and military guidance. Considering the possible threat, it would be costly to operate and defend a productive mining effort. The trade fleet is hardly prepared to support the transportation of mined goods and man-power is in short supply in most of our operations. But I find that the matter is we must grow to ensure our success and these positions wont be filled unless we open them. Despite this seemingly imposable task I approve any Colonially operated mining efforts. Naturally this means we must launch a campaign to recruit more personnel in all positions, mostly trade transports and viper pilots.
Admiral, I feel with multiple projects our forces may be stretched thin. To cover the down time of our current pilots I feel we must increase the max of viper pilots to 10. This way we may be able to overlap shifts and give more coverage to our civilian fleet...
We must make a strong recruiting effort to expand our abilities and fill all positions.

Today was the maden vayage of the newly outfitted Hope. It was converted to a mining ship and lots of command systems needed to be run through. I pulled out of the port at Junyo and began to do preflight checks and recalibrate the turrets. Then wouldn't you know it, the Frak'in Cylons showed up. I have not seen them for a while now and when I did I wished for some Gians, I tell ya.

**Captain Atalante reporting**

During my regular patrol of Cambridge system i got message over low band frequency from mining ship called Emerald melody saying that their long range sensors picked up Cylon activity in near by system. I responded immediately and set course to Omicron Theta system. Upon my arrival i found Emerald melody under attack by Cylon fighter. I engaged it and after short battle Cylon fighter runed to Omicron Gamma system. I followed it but my cruise engines were disrupted by passing Corsairs patrol, that was the last thing they did.
After taking out Corsair patrol i resumed hunt for Cylon fighter. After some time i found it flying around Freeport 9. I engage it but during the battle it runed again. I manage to follow it to Corfu base where Orion joined me. Cylon confronted us both and after short but fast fight Cylon was destroyed. Orion returned to Cambridge to keep trade routes safe. I stayed around Corfu base just in case more Cylons appear.

**Captain Atalante reports**

Today on my usual patrol route in omega 41 i got distress signal from one, what appeared, light trade ship. I arrived to the place where beacon signal pointed and was amazed.
I saw one heavily damaged Raptor class ship with two life signals on board.
Hull on the raptor was eated away by strong radiation field and two people abandoned ship in escape pods....i tractored both to my cargo hold and took them to Cambridge research station. Their scientists and doctors brought back to full strenght those two people when i saw them face to face for the first time. From short conversation i found out that they are two pilots from trade ship Scorpico. After Scorpico got lost they patroled the area when Cylons attacked. The radiation that destroyed their ship saved them from cylons...it seems that radiation has very bad influence on their ships.
I move proposition for them to join Viper squad, but naturally desicion is your to make.
They will also be in need of some equipment that we have on Colonial one.
Oh, i almost forgot, their nicknames are Hotdog and KnightTemplar.
