The third product of a lengthy discussion with the BAF Leadership, of which I am not a part of, yet seem to advise quite often:
Bretonian Government, Civilian, and Military awards. These are still awaiting authorization from the Bretonian Government/Parliament, and BAF leadership.
Distinguished Flying Cross:
Given to pilots who display exceptional flying skills in defense of Bretonia.
Awarded by the Fleet Admiral at his discretion.
Carina's Cross:
Given to members of the Armed Forces and Police Authority for Courage and Dedication in service to Bretonia.
Awarded by the Fleet Admiral, King, or Queen at his or her discretion.
National Service Medal:
Given to members of the Armed Forces and citizens who contribute financially, in excess of one-hundred million credits, to the Bretonian War Effort.
Awarded by the Treasurer.
Veteran's Badge:
Given to members of the Armed Forces who have served in excess of eighteen months.
Awarded by an Admiral or Fleet Admiral.
Distinguished Service Cross:
Given to those who earn a Knighthood.
Awarded by the King or Queen.
Volunteer Service Ribbon:
Given to pilots or soldiers who show Courage and Dedication in service to Bretonia without belonging to the Police Authority, Armed Forces, or Bretonian Government.
Awarded by an Admiral, Police Commissioner, King, Queen, or Prime Minister.
And these are the current holders, if they all become official in their current form. These awards are retroactive, so if someone had done something that would've earned them the award, they receive it after these are authorized. Both the Distinguished Flying Cross and Carina's Cross are already being used and the people listed under them have already received the awards.
Distinguished Flying Cross:
Lieutenant Commander Evyn Hunter
Lieutenant Commander James Hobart
Carina's Cross:
Lord Captain Sir Roger Brinkley
National Service Medal:

Veteran's Badge:

National Service Medal should be listed as awarded by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, as that is the actual head of the Treasury. Also, is the Distinguished Service Cross strictly neccessary - there is already a KBE medal that is awarded to all Knights of the Order of the Bretonian Empire? Might it not be better to just list KBEs, OBEs and MBEs as awards in themselves (as they pretty much are personal awards by the Monarch for Service to Bretonia)?
Also, might specific Fleet Action medals be created for those who fought in particularly large / significant battles, as they are in RL militaries? Say, battles with over 15/20 combatants or those deemed particularly significant might get memorable names and have special medals cast for them?
Every different medal / award could have a small bar/ribbon for it, so that a player can display either in their signature or next to their name in the fleet roster all the awards they have, without it taking up as much space as full sized medal pics, or written titles.
e.g. use some of these:
Sir Stanley Nelson <span style="color:#000066">Charles Canning </span><span style="color:#000066"> Foreign Secretary</span>

I looked and wasn't able to find an actual medal, cross, or badge that was awarded to people who earned a Knighthood, at least in our current governmental setup. I was wanting to be able to give them some kind of award that could be added to a signature if they wanted. I can change the name, but Knight of the Order of the Bretonian Empire isn't really a name for an award, but a title.

What you are talking about would be considered 'Campaign' ribbons. These are given out for specific campaigns that consist of several large battles. For example, the Campaign for Leeds defense against Kusari, campaign to secure Tau-31 against Kusari, and the campaign against the CR. If there was a pilot active for 3 or more 15/20 pilot+ fleet battles with CR, he could be awarded a specific medal. It would be named for the campaign it was related to, and added to the list of awards at the time it is christened. That is; At the start of a campaign, or after several large battles of that campaign have been fought. Pilots who demonstrate Courage, Dedication, and piloting skill would receive these medals. In the grand scheme of things, campaign medals wouldn't be as rare as the Distinguished Flying Cross or Carina's Cross, but the names would be different between groups. So 12 people could be awarded campaign ribbons, but perhaps only 3 would receive one for the campaign against the CR, while the others might be awarded ribbons for the campaigns in Leeds or Tau-31.
The Fleet Admiral and staff would be the ones to decide if and when to make campaign medals and the criteria for them. And they are likely to be kept in a list separate from this one. Possibly there could be a 'award group' added here specifying only 'campaign' ribbons, and then a link to a list of current campaign ribbons and who has been awarded thus far for each respective award.
And while an Armed Forces or Police Authority pilot might receive a campaign medal for their repeated service in a campaign, a non-BAF/BPA pilot aiding us repeatedly would still receive the Volunteer Service Ribbon, for they aren't a part of any specific 'campaigns.'
The awards here are not for specific events such as campaign ribbons.
Also, and example. Look at your ribbon list. 'Battle of Waterloo,' 'China,' and 'Capture of Ghuznee' are all examples of campaign ribbons. So if we had 2-3 very large battles near Planet Harris, there could be a 'Battle of Harris' or 'Defense of Harris' given out as a campaign ribbon.

This was planned once these awards were authorized. I am waiting in case some of them need changed, such as possibly changing the Distinguished Service Cross. That way, once they are all decided upon, I can chose what ribbons, crosses, and medals would be the most appropriate for each one.
What about something for those that "go above and beyond the call of duty" and all that. Like taking out that battleship in your light fighter with only your mine-layer left? Or causing a gunboat to crash into a planet while your ship has no bats/bots or weapons left (done it).
Things like that deserve recognition above even what Carina's Cross seems to display. The "Star of Bretonia" or some such.
