Stop reading into other people's comments so much. Take this from someone who's been down this road more times than you've been around here.

Dab and I have had our occassional flame fest. Hel, I flamed the hell out of Nightfall once (Nightfall Flambe.. remember that one, ol bud??) and now Nightfall and I are damn good buddies.. hell we fly together in GoR!!

Take a breather, and don't take things so seriously. I stopped taking things as seriously as I was when I was going through all that flame crap with Dab a long time ago. Only time I really get pissed off is when someone REALLY goes overboard.

It's just a game FFS... Role play, sure.. but it's a *GAME*. No point in going up in a hissy fit over a presudo war that means absolutely NOTHING in the grand scheme of things :)

I can only agree with Wolf.

When I came up to the server, first, I met a guy - dunno what his name was
(sorry, if ya read that, now :) and remember me) in a starflyer.

He refused cash - not to get over the kill-lvl - and engaged nearly everything, moving.
I asked him, if he wasn't getting depressed, being killed all 5 minutes.

He said some whise words "Hey this one is only for fun - it's all for fun, isn't it ?"

My first dead was so easy to carry, after that... ya won't belive.
(And we all grow with every minute, online - why ya'r getting frustrated? - show them where yar gun-slots are ;) )

@wolf: Haha! It was a good, quality flame fest you gotta admit! Thing is, we all gotta distance ourselves a bit at times, look at what we do/say... we solved the problems, realized that the other one isn't just a 'twat' behind another IP on the net. You were one of the first people I invited to the Outcast wing later to become Ghosts of Razgriz :) To be honest it was over some stupid thing(s) happening at the same time.

@Aeon: My recommendation, get a starflier, strip it of all equipment, shields, and whatnot, leave the two justice guns just to make pretty fireworks and name it in the lines of 'Insane Planet Diver' and do what the name says. Helps a lot, after two planet dives you'll start laughing like mad.
Gezza was chasing mortars in a similar starflyer, he called it 'kissing mortars', funny thing to do :lol:
Or you can do what the guy from Seven's story did... when you die more, you'll overcome it. Read on the forum about the 282nd Suicide Kings Surgical Strike Squad, guess what was our specialty...

Aeon.. the best way to defend yourself in a flame is to start making fun of your opponent and take nothing seriously.

Look at Malaclypse, he just rocks. The only way I felt anger in his posts was when Dab told him to "shut up" somewhere. And even then reading his reply was funny.

Its all just a bit of fun really. Just because QV hates you, you can do what i did with bs| when the command structure of the sso| was...in question.

Just tell all your people to disengage and refuse to fight.

But still, please dont leave just because of a war, Churchill didnt do that :P .

And Majkp is right. It is just a game and this is just a forum. No need for you to fall out with the community over a cyber war :laugh: .

You never know, wars can get recruits....just look at the SF. They got a few new recruits because of all the pirates in Cambridge :)

No need to leave really. If there is some hostility towards you from other players, you can be sure that someone else will like you. It's kind of like Wolf said: Don't take it too seriously. There have been some grand flame fests that have been thrown out there, but they're still playing, and even talking to each other.

Now, I don't know you well, if at all, but you really shouldn't leave. If you want the war to end quickly, just don't make it fun for Helghast. That's what they're going for here. And if you can't solve the problem with QV, just tell your people to ignore them. If the Helghast shoots and you, then let them. After a while, they'll stop attacking you, and realize that there is no point in going to war.

I hope that you stay around for quite a while, man.
