Yeah, Mining Ships, I just decided "hey they seem interesting let's get one"

So where should I go with it? what should I mine?

and will my Freelancer ID need to go? (I don't think it would but I figured I'd ask anyway)

so yeah, I figure I might as well try my hand with a Mining Ship, if nothing else I'll just use it for RP.

Scrap field around bornholme depot in omega 15 is really high yield as well. Most scrap cans you shoot give around 10-20 scrap metal, which sells for 500 credits per unit at bornholme. I would suggest using a Junker ID if you go there though, I've been known to 'pirate' non junkers in that field =P

Silver in colorado isnt bad either, but you have to go all the way to manhattan to sell the ore for a decent price.

If you want to mine silver, try hiring new players to help you fill your hold, then fly it up to Kusari for sale, split the profits. Encountered someone else doing that, was good fun (as fun as shooting little rocks can be).

try to mine Diamonds in Dresden, near the Frankfurt JH

be careful with Wild and Hessians there

Mine diamonds in the Von Rohe belt and get some activity into the coolest looking system ever!

Also, have fun flying the damn thing around. I dropped half the shield on mine simply getting it to Java from the shipyard in Kusari.

Oh, and don't expect a good reception from the mining corporations if you start mining in their fields with a freelancer ID...
