Combat Report

As requested, another bloody report on activities. We have to write these things up for every two-credit loser we send to the great beyond? Seems a waste of time and energy. Anyway.

Standing orders: Search and destroy M26 Class Corsair craft operating in Bretonia and the Omegas.

[color=#33FF33]Manchester

Returning from our last failed attempt to intercept a large craft in the Dublin system (BAF report 134892AS), we found a most unpleasant surprise - a Lane Hacker gunship sitting in Leeds orbit. We read him his rights and ripped into his ship, which most displeased him. We pursued him to Magellan, but lost his signal in the ice-fields. Rescue and recovery operations were winding up attempting to locate the escape pod of Phate.

We returned to Sheffield for re-fuelling.

The alert sounded about twenty minutes later. The gunship had returned and was shooting up the depots outside. Agent Remnant was doinga fine job of chasing the stubborn ship off, and our combined firepower was enough to cripple his ship. But not before the vile crew aboard murdered a passing trade ship.

Target: William_Wallace Client: BPA; IND Invoiced for Payment

His escort pilot was probably better at talking the talk than actually being a real life tough guy. It was hardly a satisfactory or efficient use of resources chasing him so we shot him up and told him he to move on.

Omega 5
Intelligence received news of a M26 operating in Leeds, so the Stix and Agent Remnant ran a search pattern and pinpointed him. He had moved from Leeds to Omega 5 via Cambridge using the network of jump-holes. We encountered him inside Omega 5 attempting to pirate a trade ship. He probably wished his ugly tank of a ship was more agile considering the many asteroids around us. The Fireball did its job, and the Stix's gun crew did theirs.

Target: Wodan Client: BAF; Guild Core Invoiced for Payment

Crew and ship in good condition.

One no. M26 Class Corsair Gunboat and one no. Lane Hacker 13GS-1 Gunship destroyed since last report.

Incoming Scrambled and Private Transmission

From: Jeff Phelps, CEO, AP Manufacturing
To: George Graves, Director, Search Destroy Agency

RE: Ship deliveries

George -

This is just a quick memo to let you know that four of the latest ships you've requested that APM build for you have been delivered to their respective duty stations. (This is, of course, in addition to the numerous smaller ships that we regularly build for your use.)

The S/D-Mustang is currently at the BH headquarters on planet Texas.
The S/D-Spitfire is at New London.
Both of the new gunships have basic loadouts, and can provide support for your activities in the houses.

The S/D-Feuerhune is docked at Capetown. Neither Harvery or Doug really could firm out what kind of loadout you would need on the gunboat, so she's got a basic one ready that's all guns - still pretty deadly, and the capship armor cost a lot less, too.

And lastly, the S/D-Cerberus is ready to live up to her name as the guardian to the gates of hell. She's docked at Rostock, and has a crew of true believers, ready to defend both the station, the jump hole, and the secrets. She has a smooth ride, and until you give us an order for something larger - or smaller - I'm sure she'll be a proud flagship for the the S/D and their Core operations.

Good luck, George, godspeed, and don't let anyone, least of all Harvey, give you any crap.

End Transmission

Made the first of several forays in to Minor today. It is an interesting system. One big asteroid field, getting capital vessels in that system will be a nightmare. I though I was detected the moment I entered the system, because I had a contact at 15k, turns out he did not have a Discovery scanner, like I do, so I was outside his range. I picked a direction and headed out. Turned out to be the right choice because soon I saw a planet on the long range scanner. Unfortunately I did fly within and Order ship that did have a disco scanner. Knowing my peaceful jaunt through Minor could abruptly end at any time I moved with all haste. I flew by Toledo and their Battle ship Isis, which is pared right by the planet. Also in the vicinity it the jump hole to Omicron 100.

Here is the shot on my nav map.

So I skirted that area at max range and then heard some com chatter as I was swinging around the back. Seems I did get seen and they were calling in help. I discovered an Unknown jump hole and continued on my run. I decided that checking out the other side of the system from where I was spotted would be a good idea and hope they left the jump hole unguarded.

I ran across their back was into the Alaska system and then came to one of the oddest thins I have ever seen. Some type of alien jump gate. I was so stunned I completely forgot to get a picture. Will get one next foray in.
I hung by that gate for a few minutes, then targeted the Delta jump hole and made the run. I just knew that I was going to have to blast my way through to get back into Delta. I was also planning on making the run to Gammu, since there was all the strife on FP11 earlier and I did not want to piss off the Zoners. Well hate to leave this on a slow note, but there were 6 folks in systems, I am assuming, looking for me and not one of them thought to guard the jump hole back to Delta. So I slid through and docked back at Freeport 11.

Here is the Minor nav map

A few notes. I only ran across one patrol while I was in there, of Order pilots. Although I did run into Nomad fighters and gun boats all over. Thankfully they can not CD, so staying out of their way is easy. Otherwise I only saw single Order and Corsair folk in system. Do they not seem to keep a lot of personnel in system. Although they can get folks in there fast if need be.

Will be heading back in to get technology and life form samples. Also a picture of that gate. One thing with all the Nomads running around in that systems how do we know the Order folks in there are not also infected.

Brent Mako out.

While yesterday was a good day, today was even better. Both Omicron Delta and Minor were nice and quiet. I entered Omicron Minor and headed for that alien jump gate to get a picture for our records. I wonder if the Order has figured out how to use this thing yet. As I said in my last report with the way they guard these systems it would not surprise me to find out they were infected and in league with the aliens.

Alien jump gate : Omicron Minor

I then set about trying to find an order patrol I could ambush. As luck you have it I came across a patrol that was engaging some Nomad light fighters and a Nomad gun boat. I unfortunately did not get a scan of the gunboat. Since they were all busy with each other I used it to my advantage and wasted one of the Anubis fighters and collected it's pilot and one of it's weapons. I then set about to take down a Nomad light fighter. These fellows are tough. Amazingly enough the Order patrol did not target me and "helped" me do so. Downing one of the fighters I picked off another and then a third, collecting specimens as I went. I captured 3 of the aliens and locked them down in my hold. Along with one of their guns.

Right after that another wave of Order fighters came in to join the fun. This time the decided I was the bigger threat and they were flying the better Nephthys fighter. I got some scans and decided it was time to leave.

Here is the intel on the Order ships

I made my way back to the jump hole back to Omicron Delta and headed for Freeport 11. I then realized I forgot to get scans of the Nomads. Being in Delta it was not hard to run across a flight of them, So I circled a group and got these

Nomad Light fighter Intel

I docked at Freeport 11 and repaired my ship, since I had taken some minor hull damage and restocked my Shield batteries and Nanobots. I also encountered a freelancer who had a large stock of Nomad equipment and cut a deal with him on his stock. It's two of the Nomad blasters and about 6 cannons. I checked reports and saw that the area around Freeport 9 was clear as well as areas around Gammu and Primus.

Seeing the way clear I decided to head on back with my cargo. Thankfully this Corsair civil war made the trip fro the Kappa jump hole to the Theta hole clear. I then proceeded to come back to Capetown through the Sigma 17 back door into Munich and then a nice clear run all they was back to HQ

Here is a a shot of the life forms I have waiting for our folks. I sent the Order pilot to the detention center and have the Nomads in our containment facility.

Here are a couple shots of the some of the weapons I have for the R&D folks

One final note. The Corsairs that patrol Delta are very well equipped. They will tear up a Graviton shield. I ended up having to swap over to a molecular based class ten shield, to just be able to deal with them. Of course this then causes issued with dealing with the Order lasers, but they were the lesser of the two evils. Nomad weaponry will tear up anything it comes in contact with. So I recommend agility or a gun boat. Flying a Manta out there will put you at a disadvantage. Those Corsair Titans are very heavily armored and their weapons will strip your shields and hull fast. Anubis fighters are significantly weaker then the Nephthys fighters, and the Nomad fighters are very quick and maneuverable. Although they do not mount shields so that makes life a bit easier.

Anyway glad to be back to HQ...now I need a beer and some long hours of sleep.

Brent Mako signing off

Well after a good nights sleep one of our office folks reminded me that part of my mission was to also map out Delta. Heh I have the maps and here is the report.

Delta not only houses Zoners, Corsairs, The order and Nomads, but up then upper reaches you will even find Liberty navy patrols. The Lost Battlestar the home of the A.D.M.I.N creatures is also located here. The lower part has an odd asteroid field similar to that of Kappa. There are also several ice and junk clouds and the whole upper left section is a loose asteroid field.

Full map of Omicron Delta

Now for the time being our main staging area is Freeport 11 and very close by is Yaren base, a Corsair outpost

Also as you can see the jump hole to Omicron Minor is only 30 k away. The Order has the whole guarded by 4 weapons platforms. Eh these were easy to slip by.

An unknown jump hole is also near Freeport 11. This and the Kappa jump hole seem to be the entry point for the Nomads

Here it is on the big map

Lat but not least the location of the Lost Battlestar. As I am sure the Director will agree with me in that to approach this ship is to invite a painful death. Best to not even go anywhere near it.

As I stated before, there are a lot of factions in this area. Most of whom we are not on good terms with. Although there are plenty of our hunter brothers out there trying to keep the Order, Sairs and Nomads in check. As for me time for another beer and some good food. Those Zoners out in Delta do not stock a good kitchen and ship rations are best eaten sparingly.

COMBAT REPORT

Incoming Transmission
To: Operations
From: S/D-Surma

Pretty simple, really. The [OPG] made a series of disparging remarks about Queen Carina giving them Cambridge for an evening of fun and frivolity. They ordered my ship out of the area. There was an ion storm that disrupted things for a while, and when I came back from it, they were still in Cambridge.

I told them that it was time to finish our conversation that was so rudely interrupted by the ion storm, and then proceeded to do so.

Looks like about 750,000 credits courtesy of the Sir Andrew Stuart - I only wish I could've claimed bounties on the OTHER two OPG pilots that were in system as well, but they quickly turned tail and ran for Omega 5 and their 'hidden' base.

Gutten Tag as they like to say here in New Berlin. Oy' was a nice day. Not nice enough for any targets to show up, but nice none the less. I ran a sweep through New Berlin and Stuttgart seeing as those are the two main systems we see action in. Other then swarms of LWB rookies at the gate, the unlawful's were sticking close to home today. Even the traders were sparse, I maybe saw 3 during my patrol. Finished my patrol and reported back to Bonn station.

Guess I`ll be the one to report about that furrball in Stuttgard. we were patrolling Baden Baden orbit when a distress call came in from a synth food convoy. it was under attack from LWB ships. we rushed over there to find the criplled convoy. A fight started but we were blown away. Damn those Eagles. some fine ships they are.
I heard that 2 Dogs got away. maybe they can file a more complete report.

Only shot I was able to take before it became too intense:

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff152...creen1.jpg

Feel free to add you guys. damn, that was a massacre...

When I came back in cambridge the corsairs were pouring in at the O5 hole. The Surma was being shot at and a BAF officer was blown away pretty soon. I jumped in but in true corsair fashion they ganked us 4 to 1. The Surma went down due to concentrated fire. then they all went for me and another BAF officer. I pretty soon was the sole survivor. I was able to hold out for about 7 minutes with 8 ships shooting at me. I even managed to insult their mothers before my ship blew up.

Not my day. damnit.

Raya out.
