So I was out for the day and the thread I got started turned into a personal issue and was closed, I'm not trying to stir the pot here. Let me address some issues I have with the other thread I started.
I'm not suggesting any type of change to the mechanics of the game or the way Nomad rep is handed down from the powers that be. I guess a more direct question would be.
Since I don't play at the same time as most of the Nomad faction players. Is it possible, if I get a group of people together who also have trial IDs. Come up with RP justification, and prove ourselves over time to have another Nomad faction?
Before you nay say let me explain. I have read the lore and understand it. I have a solution to the whole mindsare/individual issue.
That being said, is it possible for me to discuss this with an admin or the other Nomad faction leaders and bounce ideas off them?
Let me say again, I'm not trying to stir the pot, or step on anyone's toes.
I'm not trying to suggest that there's anything wrong with the Nomad factions now.
All I'm saying is that I don't play at the same time as these guys and it makes it difficult to appear invite worthy.
I don't want to over populate the server with Nomads, by the very nature of my idea for RP the group would have to be small. And very disciplined. So let me know if any of these ideas have a chance.
Just fly an indie nomad. It's what I do. Once in a while a few of us meet up and group, sometimes with Keepers, more often not. No new Nomad factions are needed.

I disagree. I think I'd be satisfied with that if I could dock places other than the shrine so that anytime I want to play my Nomad I don't have to start there, not very nomadic.
But okay, I'll talk indie with you, who does your indie Nomad have positive rep with?
In answer to your hypothetical question concerning another Nomad faction, it will have to be a negative
answer I'm afraid. Sorry, not trying to sound funny, or indeed blunt in any way, but In Discovery terms,
you have been here five minutes, so a new faction is not an option.

Nobody but the Outcasts, and even then it's a tenuous relationship dependent on Keeper-OC relations.
I fly out of the Shrine, like all good little Nomads, and generally keep out of PvP. More fun to watch people try and understand a Nomad that doesn't understand itself yet.

If a long standing member, such as yourself Hoodlum, were to make this same attempt at a new faction, what would be the reaction?
Just wanting to know how the idea would fair based on it's own merits and not on a members joining date.
If the idea were to be basically something like the Keepers but instead one of the other 'castes' of the Nomads, what would the general concensus be? If it was controlled as strictly as the Keepers that is.
I've no intention of following this up myself but I'm just very curious as to the answer.

I understand and expected that. I know I'm new. I think I'll do some writing anyway, how else will i get unnew?
I would try and join a faction related to the nomads, Order, oracles, outcasts, wilde maybe. These are a few options that will help you gain experience in the world of nomads without being one.
Also, as I say to all new people, get on skype, start talking to people, meet new people. I happen to run a channel just for this purpose... (see sig).
On skype other members can more readily provide assistance and, perhaps more importantly, get to know you. Others getting to know you is also a good reason to join a faction. Once you are better known more opportunities come up. I cant even tell you how many RP ideas I get from all the skype chats I am in.
Edit: One more thought. Just like in a place of business, you have to work your way up around here. Your new so would be something like a dishwasher. Dishwashers dont get to plan the menu, sorry. You have to learn about how things work and become trusted.
Try the Oracles I would suggest.
Look out for times that the Keepers are around and observe.
Read up on Nomad related stories.
Read the Nomad lore.
The Wilde actually seem a little more challenging to me than just a Nomad by itself. Combining both humanity and Nomad..ity in one is an interesting task but if you like it, go for it.
Basically, what Taz said, with the Nomad lore too.
Again thanks for the help guys. I know I came out with a bold proposition so I appreciate your consideration.
I have a couple Outcast characters and I haven't seen much RP dealing with Nomads but I like playing as them anyway. I'll took into the other factions as well.
I started playing about three weeks ago and I can't tear myself away from this mod. I've made tons of money and done some neat stuff I guess really what I'm looking for is anything with strong RP so I don't get bored or start feeling like I've got nothing left to accomplish.
