Ok, I have a few questions concerning the Xenos, mostly for my own clarity and understanding.
First off, the regular Xeno ID:
Pilot carrying this ID is a Xeno Terrorist, who:
* Can trade and escort Xeno smugglers
* Can demand cargo from any non-Universal Shipping ID
* Can fulfill bounty contracts against non-Liberty IDs
* Cannot ally with any lawfuls except with Liberty lawfuls against non-Liberty pirate or military invasions
* Cannot demand credits
Ok, so we know the Xenos hate foreign shippers and cargo from outside of liberty. So that encompasses Kusari, Rhineland, and Bretonia. I would figure that they would be hitting this shipping hard trying to stop the influx of goods into Liberty that is taking away the jobs of other Libertonians.
Now, with the Xenos being Pro liberty, I would think that they would like DSE, Interspace, Synth foods, and the local mining companies just a tad more .... not sure about Cryer tho.
Now my questions:
1. Are the Xenos more likely to not mess with known Liberty based shippers that aren't Universal, especially now that there is a war on?
2. With the war on and materials in short supply, or non existant in Liberty to begin with, will the Xenos perhaps soften their stance against materials being brought in to help fight the war?
3. Miners. Local companies, employing Libertonians, giving them jobs, inside of Liberty space. Why would the Xenos chase down mining ships and destroy them? This actually happened the other night.
4. Refugees. Some refugees from the Leeds system are starting to flow into Liberty, where they are being given new homes and jobs. What will the Xeno stance be on this?
Just some questions I had. answers would help me better understand the Xeno mindset.

This is an excellent question and one to which I have given much thought since I found, with mixed reactions, that I could no longer harry a Universal Shipping vessel.
1) Xenos are- less likely to mess with Liberty based commercial concerns as a standard. Their top priority is putting the foreign boys in place, second priority is getting the homegrown crews to follow suit.
Thats my take on that anyways.
2) No. Liberty is at war and, like any patriotic redblooded man of the nation well smash up a Rhienland Military incursion with the same voracity as any Naval pilot. But just because Manhattan isnt being supplied with the mineral wealth that they once were doesnt soften our resolve. If anything, it gives our objectives a boon.
Our mission and resolve will be softened once our goals are met. Not before.
3) DSE is actually the faction I would prefer to see in place of Universal shipping on the ID. DSE is one of the largest blue collar employers in Liberty space. From the mining concerns on Pittsburgh to what spaceborn enterprises they maintain. HOWEVER. Were bloody terrorists. If a bunch of jackamos are floating about in Helium/Silver/whatever fields with their random ships/tags/IDs theyre fair game. Profiteers working in leu of regulated labor friendly industries are not going to fly.
Recall as well, that the Xenos have goals that go beyond making sure that theres a boy from Liberty behind the wheel of passing tradeships. We want the for profit law enforcement system shut down. We have a rather large grocery list of goals, actually, many of which well happily broadcast via the burning wreckage of anything we can get our hands on.
4) Refugees. We dont need them, we dont want them. Take them to Rheinland if theyre looking for work. Weve problems enough with half the manual labor in Liberty being conducted via LPI prisoner camps, let alone by refugees providing another font of unregulated labor.
Truth be told I do not like the restrictions on attacking Liberty shipping. Within RP we leave them mostly be, but they affront our movement the same as any other. Thats why were hostile to them.
To repeat, the Xenos are hostile to every single faction in the game save the Order, IMG, Freelancers and Zoners. With whom they are simply neutral.
The Xenos will shoot a Samura transport long before a Universal one, but in my minds eye a Universal shipping vessel is still feeding the state that is refusing to bow to our demands. Theyre just as likely to move goods manufactured by LPI camps as any other. So while well give them a little extra breathing room, the cold truth of the matter is that theyre as much our enemy as anyone else.
As such I really dont like the bit about us not touching Universal. I feel that it was hoisted on us as a treat that doesnt have as much background as some think it might have. If such an agreement were to take place I would prefer that it happen within the grounds of an RP agreement, such as the one that we maintained with the KOF for a period of time.
Ya, there is information in vanilla about how Xenos "like" Universal because Universal encourages the law to go easy on Xenos coz Xenos primarily hit foreigners, making Universal's job of exporting easier (reduces corporate competition, see).
Dunno if they would go so far as not shooting Universal, tho...
