On behalf of the RFP guys (I guess), why not keep the RM out of this one? I mean, it would be nice for them to have an event of their own without the military bringing in the big guns to spoil the party. Crashing the revolutionaries' party sounds like police work to me.

Actually it makes sense the way it is currently set up.

If the police fail part one then they would naturally call for some heavier firepower, and once Hessians are involved it becomes a Military matter since the RFP aren't equipped to handle the amount of firepower that they can bring to bear.

Problem is, both military and police factions can use identities of their own, not mingle together and be PvP partying. What we're trying to do in Rheinland is set definite mandates for both the military and the police so they don't step into each other's toes, making the police just a junior version of the military and by that diminishing its role (consequentially diminishing the interest people have in the police). Even though it may make sense for the military to intervene at a given point after the police gets out gunned, having mixed events at this point isn't in the best interest of the original purpose of keeping the factions to themselves until the police strengthens some.

If and when the RFP gets to entertain a very well defined role in Rheinland we may think of this sort of events. Until then, for the factions sake, it's better we restrict interaction between police and military.

I desided to add the [RM] in the Second Wave , because the [RHA] will join in aswell. I had the idea of VF) vs RFP| and [RHA] vs [RM]. That way , all four factions can have a share of fun , but the event still concentrates on the VF) and the RFP| , since they are a part of two fights.

Someone mentioned the LWB|'s presence in this event. Well , I think that they wouldn't bother joining in this kind of mission.As far as I know , they aren't realy set out to be revolutionaries. I designed it to be more of a Hessian and Bundschuh thing. But more events are soon to come out , I'll try to make a LWB| - VF) one aswell. But let's see how this goes for now.

Gronath , has indeed raised a good question. In my own ignorance I was not aware that you where trying to set definite mandates for both the military and the police factions. I understand your concerns , but like I said. The main reason why I desided to put in the [RM] in this event is because the Hessian's use firepower that the RFP| cannot counter , atleast in RP. For that reason , the [RM] is to step in and help their felow lawinforcers with controling the Hessians , with there more powerfull ships ( VHFs ). If you would like , I can make the second part like this.

And the Hessians - Rheinland Millitary fight , takes place at a larger distance from the transport , hense the VF) - RFP| fight. That way , all factions can still participate , but the police and the millitary wont be "stepping on each others toes" sorta speak. Tell me what you think about that.

Still, there's another practical issue as a lot of the active people playing in Rheinland right now are both in RM and RFP, or in RM and RHA, or any other combination. By mixing up the factions you're actually weakening the participation of say, the RFP, as there are those that will prefer to fly Wraths rather than Phantoms in an event. Since your intention is that it becomes two separate fights, you should just not involve the other factions (RM and RHA). Still concerning practical issues, first off you have an added lag for both fights since there's another one going on at the same time and within scanner's range. Second, the fight might as well start off separate, but as it progresses it's difficult to control where both fights are going as positioning is concerned. The fighters may very well end up mingling accidentally since they are so close. On multiple levels I'd like you not to include the RM on this one.

I'd be more than happy to support an exclusive military event for the RM, as I would be supporting an exclusive police event for the RFP (even though that doesn't directly concern me) but I will not condone a joint RFP/RM one at this point. This is something that has been discussed extensively on the RM forums between both the RM and the RFP factions and we've settled not to mix the two of them for the time being.
