GMG is Kusarian. We kill their friends (KNF, AFA, Hogosha, Corsairs(?)).

On the other side - please don't get it wrong - the Mandalorians themselves don't belong here.
It's a starwars/freeworlds-mod faction with thier own ships and system.

And on an addional other side, why picking the so called 'best' ships?
I saw and encountered you guys in civilian ships. Pretty good to me.
Well, I'm not granting any Mandalorian any further BHG equipment. Those who got it now will eventually exchange/lose/forget about it. Until we get anything different the Zoner one will have to do.

As for us being imports, I agree. As for not belonging here, I disagree. We've done a darn good job for imports in creating Disco specific material.

I didn't really understand the "best" ship thing. My intention was to come up with an in RP ship that's usable. If the chant around the Zoner one wasn't "worthless in combat" I wouldn't think twice. We are a mercenary faction after all and I do have to think about the ships being usable in combat. Specially since I'm picking them for the people that count on me to represent their interests. I don't want the best ship, I want a ship that can hold its own against a similar threat. What I don't want is a figurative ship, because we don't do figurative portraying of our characters.

I believe either the Zoner Gunboat or the Blood Dragon gunboats are the best choices.

You seem to have more of a strong bond with the Dragons compared to the Outcasts. As you provide a great assistance to the Blood Dragons cause, it wouldn't seem too out of hand to acquire gunboats from the player factions.

The Zoner Gunboat will be generic and another good option. Less RP flavour, but is a safer option.

I don't think the Bounty Hunter gunship is the best choice - like the Zoner gunboat it is anti-bomber and belongs to a rival faction. Both ships have the same role - yet the zoner gunboat is a much safer option.

Uh... the Hogosha aren't GMG friends anymore (the GMG have a bounty on Hogosha in fact), and they've got an under-the-table deal with the Blood Dragons involving, among other things, the termination of Samura transports. If I recall, they're not exactly friendly to the Corsairs anymore either, now that they've been cut out of the Artifact trade.

Actually, 3 of those factions are GMG enemies, and one maintains a stance of neutrality. If you so wished, you could conduct under-the-table diplomacy with the GMG to acquire Kusari Explorers, but, again, your use of the ships would be limited (in this case, no attacking Kusari with them...GMG does not want to initiate a full-blown war with Kusari...).

This leads to an interesting thought, tho. Assuming you intend to acquire multiple gunboats/ships, you could have an Outcast gunship for operations in Bretonia against Kusari and Corsairs (and whatever else you fight), while stationing a Kusari Explorer in Liberty for operations there. This way, you are not bringing a hostile warship into Liberty, nor are you deploying the Explorer in a fashion which could harm GMG-Kusari relationships.

zoner GB isnt worthless in combat...granted it has only 4 turrets but other things it has provided its used properly can give great leverage. Killing corsair GB with Zoner Gb may be hard but its not impossible...once when 4.85 is out we can discuss this further since i don't want to make a spoiler here

it can be even easy;)I've killed many sair GBs in hacker gunship with only 4 guns, it just need right setup which is in zoner case (I assume zoner GB will have same or even better agility than LH GS)

2x solaris, 1x razor, 1x inferno for swiis knife gb

or

4x solaris / 2x solaris and 2 missiles for antifighter gb

or

2x razor, 2x inferno for anticap gb

yes this was spoiler:)

On the Outcast Gunship:
You say you have a contract with Liberty. Liberty Hates Outcasts. Bringing a Outcast made tech to Liberty or any other house is asking for trouble.
Unless your keeping them out of House space.

The BH GS or the Zoner GB are the most logical choices if your going to be using them in House space.

Indeed, ivr. We are very self-conscious about what ships we use where and against who. Right now we don't have any blatant cases of ships we CAN'T really use somewhere. Mandalorians who have achieved Ace status as far as the Outcasts are concerned (five kills against Corsairs) are allowed to purchase a Sabre. But the ship is somewhat seen as Border Worlds civilian, so flying a Sabre in New York is nowhere near the same as flying a Titan there. Still, we tend to avoid raising too much eyebrows, yes.

IF we end up cutting a deal with the Outcasts for some gunships, then I think they wouldn't be as inconspicuous as the Sabres are, so we'd have to be a lot more careful.

Quote:T-833-GB Ahoudori Kusari Explorer

The first ships of the Kusari Explorer line were built in 490 A.S., a period when space exploration was considered very important for the House of Kusari, the Explorers were equipped to spend long months and even years charting distant star systems for possible resources to be exploited by the state.

The initial design was adopted by Samura, and through it, the Gas Miners Guild who found great use of the vessel in their continuing mission of charting the expanses of the Crow nebula to seek out new pockets of resources to feed Sirius ever growing energy needs. The Explorers of modern times have been retrofitted with superior military grade hardware and shielding to ensure that the Guilds finds would not fall into the hands of claim jumpers. Additional modern Kishiro amenities and superior sensor packages have produced a vessel that is as comfortable as it is hardy; as such the Explorer has found a valuable after-market for Freelancers and wealthy Kusarians alike seeking to find the next hidden jumphole, or luxuriate in its firepower, with a measure of comfort and security.

You guys are down with the Dragons. The GMG is down with the Dragons. The Explorer is Civi-ish. It's yours.
