Was in california earlier today, lets say pirate 1 he says "stop" so I say "catch me if you can or something like that" then pirate 2 comes along and just blows me up without saying jack to me.

So I stayed in system for about 5 minutes and pirate 1 and 2 just say halt or stop to all traders then say pay xxx amount....

Seriously, if pirates cant be bothered to put some effort in I wont be stopping my engines.

It works both ways, best thing to do is lead by example. These type of threads are redundant and useless.

well join the other 100 threads about it.
now i dont know those pirates, but if i would ask you to stop and do so while i can CD you and not doing ti so you can stop on your own and we can RP depends what pirate char of my it is and you say "catch me if you can" i would CD you and if you wont cut your engines you will be scrap. try and stop to RP. see what will come out of that instead of running all the time.

Well, at first it's either going to be a set message or something short and easy. Like halt, stop, or hold it.
After that, assuming you did stop, any decent pirate would then begin a little RP, along with an asking price.

If you don't stop, they can shoot you.
If they make a demand as you're running away any they're shooting you, they can kill you.

Edit:
Also, if you fire back as you're running away, they can kill you without a demand.

That's generally the problem with traders, they expect pirates to rp with them, while they are simply running away themselves. Ever tried to type a message while trying to catch someone? It's pretty hard.
I do agree with you about the fact the second pirate shouldn't have killed you (maybe roughening you up a little would've been better:P)

Id say among pirates I meet about 50% are trying to RP and the others are pay 3 mil or die types.

It doesnt change. You either get used to it or you get out of trading. (Which hurts the pirates in the long run since they have fewer targets)

I try to RP with all of them. If they dont like my RP maybe I get blown up. If they do like to RP then hopefully we have a fun exchange and smiles all around.

Some of the best RP pirates I have meet have demanded very little cash, or sometimes just cargo. I remember once when confronted by Black Pearl he PMed me with something like Just keep quiet, trader, and Ill let you live. That was classic.

Instead of complaining on the forums (where none of those short fuse guys are anyway) just fly a different route and hope the next encounter with someone else is more fun.

I dont always run, i role play back. If I am in cruise 3k away u expect me to kill my engines ? Doesnt work that way im affraid. If i do get CD then i usually kill my engines as I am no match for a bomber or better

I think your story is a little one sided. Being attacked OoRP as a pirate all the time, I do believe I know that the other side of the fence probably has a story to tell as well. Vero is very right. We don't have the pirate's side, so, just get on with your own RP, and if you RP the part of a damsel in distress right, someone will RP back with you.

Tell me about it. Sometimes, I swear, but that isn't good for me...

Actually, I remember the admins making a ruling that stop and halt weren't enough rp to initiate an attack or a pirating, many a lawful and unlawful has felt the sting of a sanction for that. As for pirate number 2 blowing you up, I believe a demand needs to be made first. Did Pirate #1 ask for money?

No he didnt he just told me to stop from 3k away while in cruise, I only died because of pirate #2 and pressing the wrong button which dropped me out of cruise.
