Yes ... please provide this route. We pirates would like to take a look into just ... how "profitable" it really is.
' Wrote:i'm going to correct myself because i really overshot my estimates, one way _does_ take around 20mins. It's completely inRP for some of my characters to scavenge wrecks while doing it, and finding a couple of codes would mean extra 20-30mil in a flash.
Still, even normal trading means that's 30mil right there, and unless you're aiming for a battleship that's perfectly enough. What exactly are you going to do with that 300mil after a week of trading, anyway? If you have played enough to be on good terms with the faction providing the battleship, they'll just give you the money for it.
Anyway I was off big time and apologize, I'll edit my former posts accordingly:)
1. We'll see how inRP it is when pirates set up along that route ... if the traders role play with the pirates ... then we'll consider it RP. If they just go about their business as if it were the Diamond/Niobium Run all over again ... then I'll have to disagree with your position it is inRP.
2. CODIES only sell for about 48k ... that's about all you'll get from an NPC. Now if you plan to sell them for 20-30 mil a piece ... you'll get a bit of ticked off folks like me who would like to find a freaking wreck that's not been looted. All you dolts that live in the "system reset" time zone piss me off to no end. Leave the blasted wrecks for lower ranks to get started and for those that can actually use the stuff.
3. Any and all power-trade routes should be nerfed. Rationale is that too many noobs get a battleship before they've learned to role play with one. Getting a battleship should require actual work. One week of power-trading is not enough to "earn" you the right to fly such a beast.

Our sole purpose here is RP, not mindless working away while trading. Most people who trade also try to RP, and for the sake of some random oorp idiots, I don't want to have to trade a whole day just to make another char, and don't want to trade for a month in order to get a cap with a reasonable armor. I just don't, and won't.
Only thing keeping me away from RPing capital ships is the lack of willpower to trade away my life into emptiness.
Every aspect of the game needs to be fun, and trading should not be considered as work, and when you see the ever increasing prices, and the ever decreasing means of earning money, you kinda tend to consider it work, and not just other RP.

i must agree, we pay for mistakes made by new comers who "I want a BattleShip", there were many suggesting to fix that problem. Now all of us have to Work hard to create more chars that we want to enjoy. Keeping new players from capital ships on their first weeks in game is a good thing but us paying such a heavy price. There must be something that can be done, even if we did get a Zoner Guard IFF and ID got a 5k ship still be making 0.5 less per time than last mod build.
Anyone?

Honey with the banks you have I'd expect you to be the last to complain.
The profit is still there to be made, take advantage of the all time low piracy rates.
