@Jimmy. Get a BW transport (3600), a Firefly (3500), a regular Train (3000), a Large Transport (2000), Pirate Transport (3400) are all viable alternatives to a freelance trader.

@ cmfalconer: Go back and re-read all ... you might find you're restating what I've already said. I already made note of commodities from mining price being raised where sold. Funny ... but please re-read. Also ... I've already mentioned making it more difficult to purchase the caps by selling them on guard bases and making the buyer be 100% green with the guard NPC's. Sorry ... but my $.02 beats your $.02 by a bit of time.

Jimmy ... you're an independent trader ... in role play and in real life independent traders will have smaller vessels than corporations. So your role play is not affected ... that is unless you just gotta have that huge trade vessel. Mom and Pop department stores will NEVER be as big as Walmart.

i agree, Corps will have bigger vessels. But still Smuggling Come on you smuggle heroin or math through a border you get much more than the milkman..... At least make smuggling more profitable

But those are stores, not trucks.

And even Wallmart started out as a small company.

Corporations do not not have bigger transports, they have more transports. Fleets.

Instead of coding the game backwards, forcing the independents traders to downgrade, the special house only transports with special ID should of been increased to 10,000 or 15,000 cargo cap.

The NPC advance trains have 15,000 units. Just my 2 cents.

At the moment trading has not been more care free ever.

At my timezone server is full and it means no NPCs to content with or disrupt my money rolling. At most of the players are still setting up and getting the feel of their new equipment as ship, so they are not giving you hard time at all yet.

Flying under radar.

One thing I've learned in all my time here in Discoland is that you can justify anything. Even black and white rules have been stretched to the point of breaking because people rationalize them away.
