where is the server and where is my character ?

Hi everyone,

Please allow me to explain my problem. I have uninstalled discovery 3 months ago.

I have reinstalled freelancer and discovery 4.85 yesterday and I'm surprised because on my server list, discovery RP 24/7 doesn't appear anymore ! 4.85is installed and has been automaticaly updated when a launched the game !
After several times of refreshing the server list, I managed to get the official discovery RP server, and then, surprise, all my characters have disappear !

Today, I haven't managed to get back the 24/7 official server ! The only ones I have are the USA RP 24/7, the UK 24/7, server Berlin, Archis and Relaxed RP ! I do not understand what the problem is. If somebody has a clue about, first, my favorite server missing, and second, my characters missing, I'd be glad to offer you a nice trip on a luxury cruiser around sigma 19 !

I was very lucky then... I quit for 3 months and came back to find everything intact...

Use the /restart command and start with a CSV

Yeah are you sure you've lost your account though? Seeing as the server is down and all that?

Also I presume you have your old account codes used with FL Account Manager?

Yeah use /restart <faction>

Sets you up much faster.

While the server is down they have extended the purging cycle I believe. Not exactly certain, but I believe they have.

You sure you actually lost the characters and didn't just click on another server by mistake? It's pretty difficult to get even a blank character list from a server that isn't online.

@Lancelot9: There's also Gallia, Outcast, Corsair, and Miner...

And if you did lose your characters there are many many many places that give out loans now. Many.
