Yes, it's a hybrid of transport and gunboat, gunboat firepower with transport shields and so on.
I'm just curious if there is going to be an increased energy drain on other ship classes' shields as well when they're regenerating. I think the whole concept of an energy drain on transport shields was to force a transport pilot into plant issues while in combat. But the Salvager uses gunboat turrets and thus has enough to worry about without the added drain.
I just had a few people testing this out and telling me it seemed to have more plant issues than other gunboats. I think I found the problem.
got no experience with that ship other than building it. - i suggest to get together with the junker faction / pilots that have pvped in one and have some experience. present your results and one can look into it.

Can do, I'll take it out for a rumble sometime soon.
The added 3k drain of the biggest shield equals to about one extra gb turret constantly firing.

So yes it has a bit less energy than other gbs, because it's not a GB.:)
It actually has more armor than gbs as well as much bigger cargo hold.
I have seen a few of them around, with 4 cerbs and 2 missiles... and I was wondering how nuts the pilots were.

As long as the little quirk has been noticed and is actually intended, that's cool. It's a unique ship and plays host to a variety of unique problems. Just have to make sure they're all intended problems and not design oversights is all.
I love mine to death. You can come bomberize it sometime. :D

And it's never been said that the Junker faction attracts the most pvp-savvy pilots. Yeesh.

I use 3 cerbs (one being the back turret), 2 solaris and a pulse cannon. Firing forward I get some 20 volleys before running low on power.
no wonder you make it easy for those xenox, and no one likes to be called pvp whore, we all are little pvp whores inside:P
your setup cannot fight fighters.

sorry, that's how I view Xeno players these days.
Besides, didn't buy it to WTFPWN fighters, thus it isn't set up to fight fighters. I leave that role to my Collector.
