No, it doesn't.

I use a route that wanders around all 4 houses. It is a good route, fun route. Not one of those uber powerplay routes that is uber fast and makes you a zillionare but with a 3500 cargo space ship, you make around 20 mil profit per completition. Also, it fits in all RP respects, warzone problems and so. It is just carrying 4 types of goods to 4 locations. The good thing is that, since you wander around the core systems, you face lots of RP events as well.
1. Is it in roleplay?
Yes, it fits to RP.
2. How much Actual Profit are you getting (Sell Price - Buy Price)
4 commodities sold on 4 different locations, all legal, The lowest one profits around 800c / item, the highest one profits around 1550c/item.
3. How much Time did you spend earning that profit (Profit / Time)
Not sure, depends on the "interruptions" Even using the auto dock command or going strictly to the lanes with a power docking skill changes it 5 minutes in total perhaps. Lets just say its 30 minutes at most. 20 mil profit with 3500 cargo space.
4. Just in general, how long was the route.
15 systems for 4 different goods. its like 3.75 systems per item. There are 2 locations, Liberty and Omegas, that you can get pirated but it happens like every 5 runs or so since you are doing a roundtrip, the second time you are passing there, pirates would usually be gone. All goods are legal and fits to the RP and war regulations. Even you get pirated, giving 2 mil for a 20 mil overall trip is not that high. With casual playing (not giving hours to it), I made around 150m total in a week or so, bought a 117mil worth liner, paid my debts (another 16 mil debt will be paid today) and paid like 20 mil or so to friends to help them get better.
PS: I didn't write the route and commodities, wasn't sure if I am supposed to write it here or not. PM me if you need help about it.

It is correct in, for example, saying there is a profit of $1533 per "unit" of passengers from Planet New Berlin to Planet Manhatten. It is also correct that assuming it takes 12 minutes for the trip, that's ~213 cents per second.
Unfortunately it does not take into account that passengers take up two units of cargo. It doesn't calculate profit per cargo space at all, making FLCompanion somewhat misleading when dealing with items that require multiple cargo spaces.
Wait, I see now (I've been fiddling with it as I'm writing this) - you have to feed it the cargo size of your ship, or at least a large number, otherwise it will be off. Only when I put in the options the 3495 spaces I have, did the numbers begin to make sense. So it's bugged with respect to its default view, where it should've divided the profit by the weight of the cargo, but didn't.
The wording of the options is misleading. I played with them before, but the numbers didn't make sense with the low numbers I was putting in for cargo units, so I stopped and just did the division myself. If price per 1 unit is actually price per 1 commodity, it logically followed that the other option also meant price per x commodities (clearly, an option for the lazy). Never occured to me til now to put the size of my hold there.
So I should add the qualifier, "by default" to my earlier statement. Then it holds true. By default it ignores weight/size/whatever you want to call it and simply tells you the profit per commodity, not per cargo space.
Incidentally I timed myself on a few runs and found its default timing values to be fairly good, accurate to within a few seconds, assuming no distractions. Heh.
