Greetings fellows,

some idea on commodities and traders came to my mind last night. We all know the traders, which are floating around, selling Niobium, luxury food and so on.

Have I missed something, or are there nearly zero chances for lawful military transports?

Just an example: military vehicles can be bought in Rheinland and sold in a Liberty system for good money. (I forgot the name... Alberta maybe.) But this constrains the realism in my opinion. Rheinland and Liberty are kind of enemies... so why is the only chance to sell military vehicles efficiently behind enemy lines?

Wouldn't it be more logical, if you get military vehicles from some construction site in the centre of any house and can bring them to the front lines? Example: Get them in Cambridge and bring them to the Leeds system, where a Kusari battleship is stationed.
Other example: get Rheinland soldiers (new commodity) from a training facility deep in the Munich system or Dresden to thhe battleship Karlsruhe, which is near to the border to Liberty. This would require troop transporters/Rheinland transports and at least a military or police ID.

If I follow this notion, the training facilities need weapons (light, heavy, military vehicles) and human resources.:P

What do you think? Is this a concept which is worth to think over?

Not to mention that there is always the chance of the trader working for Rheinland, and giving Liberty faulty equipment...

And thats why the Trade embargo is in force.

There are some good RP military vehicle trade routes, at least one that I know of, though I could probably find more. I would tell you what it is but it's a pretty high profit route so I really dont want to put it on a public forum.

I do like the idea of moving vehicles from the center of a house to the front lines but the profit would have to be minimal on this to maintain balance because the route would be short. I also think that because houses are so small as compared to actual RL nations this is a little problematic. Finally the resources to make military vehicles are not present in all houses. This would mean they would have to be imported, which would mean even more changes to the trade system and a big pain in the butt for Xoria.

I like the idea but it would be strange for tanks. Imagine buying say leo 2s and selling them to China. The starting country wouldn't even let them out of the motor pool without them being de-milled. Now say MV from Rhein to Kusari or Liberty to Britonia would be pretty cool.

Troops would be a good cross nation commodity as well. Nothing like a whole load of "military advisors" with weapons moving house to friendly house.

Lend-lease program anyone?
