Well... After utterly destroying everything thats come my way with my Nomad LF - I had a question pertaining to what guns are available for use by Nomad Indies.
I'm currently using Outcast Weaponry and I've heard mixed things about what guns you can use on the Nomad Morph...

Are you using a Terrorist, Pirate or Nomad ID? Because Nomads should not be able to dock on any human base/planet/station. How did you get those weapons?

Civilian guns. Right now bring them with your ship when you switch to the morph.

They'll be added to the Shrine in next updates. For now just take what you need before your old journey ends and a new one begins.

And these are not independents. These are trial characters, just some are taking it indefinitely long. But strictly speaking there are no publicly accessible independents. Currently only Zapp has technically an independent character.

I'd also would like to remind that this is still Beta version and it may not provide complete functionality and infrastructure for some elements that were made new or were redone in this version. Bugs are getting fixed while at it, and some adjustments may or may not be made.

How to become a nomad indie. Get a pirate Id and civvy weapons (no missiles), then the LF, dock only on the shrine. That's it.

Your information is outdated, please refer to this post. The ship requires special public available ID, called Nomad Trial ID, and it can only be used with that ship and no other.

For my indie (in 4.84) i relied on Xenos stuff mostly. Due to the fact that pretty much everyone hates them.

Sindroms, actually its by getting a nomad morph, and getting the nomad trial ID.

What im wondering though, is why not add Class 9 Lesser Nomad Lasers to the Nomad Morph package, removing any possible questions and concerns regarding what weapons they should or shouldnt use.
Since they're nomad (Keepr / Wilde) only guns, anyone using them on a non-nomad ship would be in violation of the rules.

Edit: Treewyrm beat me to the post about the trial ID.

Raisu, lasers will remain where they are - accessible to Keeper/Wild player factions. There was a discussion about it whether to create new weapons specifically for the ship usage or not, at the end the decision was to allow civilian guns and that's it.

On a similar note, what of using the Nomad trial ID on "indie" infested characters flying their respective house ships?
