' Wrote:It was a kind of mistake on my part XD They are prisoners of war (be they captured Rheinlanders that Liberty wants to dispose of or who happened to wander into the Sigmas) from Bretonia and also political prisoners and other criminal malcontents who get sent to Miura to work in the mines, much like Liberty's practice of having criminals work in Houston and Sugarland's factories.
In actual fact, many Bretonia, Blood Dragon and GC prisoners are smuggled out of the mines back to their respective groups by the GMG, which is part of the reason why they agreed (reluctantly all the same), to the Emperor's insistence that in times of war the prisoners work their dues to pay for their continued rehabilitation and survival (part of the Imperial conditions for allowing GMG to keep their sovereignty of the Okinawa system).
I personally would prefer it if the route was made a good one involving prisoners as well as slaves, although i'd prefer people to not think of them as slaves as obviously the GMG does not condone it.
I believe mixing it up can happen, LPI sells Prisoners at a higher price than Isehara so the pick up there would be slaves commodity which we'll view as Rheinland PoWs. My hope is that LN, LPI, LSF, KSP, and KNF won't be added to the list of obstacles. This thread is aimed to "get the word out"
I have noticed that Zoners in the Omegas sell Refugees and our Fujisawa operation takes them which adds variety. I haven't gone to the Eastern Kusari border to see what they have yet. I'll make that run and rummage around.
Well I've finnished my looking about and I am actually quite pleased, it all fits conveniently.
Because of the flow of prices on commodities GMG has three sources of labour each selling three different commodities (here I am talking about human cargo as commodities heheh) and it works out like this.
Liberty to GMG : Slaves
Kusari to GMG: Prisoners
Zoners to GMG: Refugees
This can also have a very conveniant RP to it as well, I'll throw the best example that comes to my mind.
Rheinland Slaves from LPI Sugarland: They prisoners to Liberty but we all know the past between GMG and Rheinland, GMG is also full of infocard that detail "Grudges" against various factions including RM. Slaves may be the appropriate thing as they may most likely be treated as such on arrival.
Bretonian Prisoners from Kusari BS near the war front: The Bretonian Prisoners are prisoners through and through, and as said earlier they are on an Imperial program for their warcrimes as viewed by Imperial Kusari, they endentured to our mines to work their dues and "rehabilitate".
Refugees from Zoner Base in Deep Omegas (41): These refugees seem most likely hungry Corsairs looking for a chance to a better life. GMG may very well be offering that opportunity, but through hard labour. Let's not forget that they cut us off the artifact deal so these particular Corsair Refugees are going to have to work hard to get accepted in the Lawful side of life.
Opinions? Does it seem like a viable RP to explain the current routes for GMG's operations?

The entire set of prices and buy/sell locations for Refugees in the latest update were reworked, including a completely new infocard. Refugees are now exclusively a product of the Bretonia-Kusari war, and cannot be "purchased" at Freeport 5 anymore. They can, however, still be transported to many of the same locations as before, including Okinawa. The GMG's source for them would be somewhere in Tau 31, it shouldn't be hard to find if you think about it.

Well I did another run, kept it simple with a full load of fuel leaving home.
Picked up a half load of refugees in the Taus and another half load of slaves from LPI in Texas.
Brought a half load of Beryllium in between.
This was a simple run.
As I did it I realized the scope of it all and how well done it was. All the points in-between bring us close to all the selling points for the necessities of our bases. It's a huge circle that can be done in any direction and suddenly changed depending on piracy/terrorism etc.. I can imagine the difficulty in placing a commodity as wide spread as H-fuel and I am pleased to see that everything needed comes back without any loss (right direction). Quite impressive. I am pretty sure I can leave our space with a full tank and come back with a bit of everything we need while distributing fuel all over at the same time. Thanks
I'm currently trying to put together some of GMG's routes and finding a huge number of options. :yahoo: In addition to what ProwlerPC said, the fact that Isehara sells prisoners lets us mix up the cargo a little (e.g 90% Exports, 10% Prisoners)... sacrificing a little profitability for good RP. I just need to find a decent place to sell Bretonian POW's back to Bretonia (or near it). Unfortunately, I couldn't find a selling point for Blood Dragon prisoners, so we'll have to leave that to RP.
More Liberty & Kusari lawfuls need to see this thread before it gets buried!
I could see there being issues between the GMG and bounty hunters, because while slavery may be winked at and/or unofficially condoned in the houses, as far as I can tell the official position in all of the houses is that slaves are still contraband.
' Wrote:I dont think bretonia is in any position to threaten war against the GMG right now. Not only is bretonia getting it's royalist ass handed to it by kusari, but... you cant fight a war without fuel, and the GMG is the primary fuel supplier in sirius. There are no h-fuel deposits in bretonia to my knowledge, and if there are they must be extremely scarce.
Bretonia could go to war with everyone and their dog. Doesn't make much of a difference. As to bretonian fuel, most of ours comes from Mox, rather than Hfuel, same as Rhienland.
And, I believe I've the first RP about okinawa's slave mines. Grey
