Sanction notification question

I have a question about sanction notifications,

Since I have never been sanctioned on any server I have played on, I was wondering how a sanction notification works.

I know they get put into your cargo hold, I know they give a general description of the violation that each one applies to.

What I would like to know is:

Once an Admin puts one into your hold...

Is it something that you have to have an Admin remove?

Or is it simply a notification explaining why you now have no guns, no money, or whatever; And now you may simply sell it and be rid of it?

When I got sanctioned for underlevel killing a while back (even though I was completely justified in what I did and still think that sanction was bogus), I lost all my credits...

sold the sanction notice, got 2 million for it, went on to trade back up to where I was at before that =P

lulz, back when i first had my sanctions waaaaaay back in the day, i think i only got 100 credits for them.


but watch what you do with them too. trying to give them to other players may make them think you're posing as an admin

The way Tenacity got 2 mil was selling to another player. there are people who will pay for it.
not 2 mil but more than 200 credits

Which version? And exactly how long ago? That seems a bit bogus to me. I'm pretty sure that 6 months ago, we were in 4.84, and i'll check the mod file later today.
