Bringing this up again, but this time it's only a minor thing, then I'll drop it.
I really like the ship. But it should have a CD.
Every other transport of roughly the same size has a CD, even those not meant for pirating. Bumblebee, Percheron, Mammoth, Behemoth, and yes, even the Kusari Cruise Liner, AKA Kusari Yacht. Heck, even the Barge has a CD, for some unfathomable reason.
Not asking for much here, just the CD, like all similar ships have. It's useful for things other than pirating... Like CDing pirates then cruising away while they try in vain to CD you through dual-CMs, or CDing foolish pirates who don't bother with a CD themselves but would cruise and follow you. Or, this last example may be against the rules, but I saw a post mentioning the tactic some time ago and no one said it was: Cruising, engine-killing, spinning around, and CDing anyone pursuing you. Also useful for shooting down battleship missiles and LF mine-spammers. Versatile, like the smaller transports (and yachts) are supposed to be.
Uh yeah I guess I'll agree here, just like last time. I've got both yachts, yadda yadda, and jinx said he put a hardpoint for a CD on there, so that is my trenchant argument. The weird things you can force the yacht to do would pretty much double with a CD.

Exactly, which is why it doesn't have one.
It is supposed to be a rarely seen ship that is just for showing off. Personally there are more than enough of them around. No need to make it even "better".
(and yes I have one as well)

It has no CD on purpose, since with a CD it would simply have close to no downsides. Get a friend with a Collector if you want to go "pirating" as junker.
Igiss says: Martin, you give them a finger, they bite off your arm.
nothing was overlooked of forgotten on those ships - what they have and not have is on purpose.
when its about piracy - while i can imagine the yacht being used for piracy - i wouldn t expect it to be used directly... rather as some medium ship lurking in the second line - looking smug. - cause whats more annoying that being pirated? - being pirated while the pirate chieftain sits in his jacuzzi with a few bikini babes and a bottle of icecold champaign - observing the scene through his armoured glass dome. - thats better than TV.
the salvager would take up a similar role in a piracy attempt - only without the jacuzzi and the bikinis and the alcohol ( althought the alcohol might be involved.... )
both ships are pretty good when used with someone with a CD - they make an awesome team with a bomber or a fighter - they add respectable firepower and a very good cargohold.
Agreed, there's no real reason for either ship to have a CD. The salvage frigate is an awesome ship; to add a CD would kind of make it too awesome if you know what I mean.
I really do like that the Yacht has double CM's and moves quickly. Its ability to escape makes up for its relatively low firepower and cargo considering its 75m price tag.
I never said it needed it for piracy, the Yacht should have it because of all the non-piracy uses it has, like when running away from pirates. Other small to mid-end transports have one, without being designed for piracy. The Kusari version of the same general ship class (luxury yacht) has one. Why shouldn't the Yacht? Is there any reason beyond the fact that some people think it shouldn't be used for anything which requires a CD? Or is it to intentionally make the ship inferior so fewer people buy it, making it more 'unique'?
' Wrote:Kusari version has it because it's a replace and I didn't want to add more job to cannon by removing it.
To "outweight" this it has almost half the armor and only 1 CM.
And more firepower, and 1000 more cargo space, and significantly better maneuverability (I know it was nerfed a bit, but it's still quite a bit better).
