Also keep in mind that despite the fact that Liberty controls most of the trade, Rheinland is sitting on far more resources than Liberty is.

Also Rheinland also has the advantage of ALG who have the best smelters in the sector and the strongest alloys, one on one a Rheinand ship should be far tougher than a Liberty ship of the same class.

ALG waste disposal are the best smelters in the sector?
Rheinland ships should be far tougher?
Rheinland is sitting on much more resources than Liberty, that is true. But how much can they extract when their industries are being constantly harrassed by Corsairs and Hessians (Omega 7)?

I think that's seeing things through a kaliedescope.

Though, the longer the war goes on, the higher the likelihood that Liberty will be forced into a stalemate or conditional surrender. If Liberty is to win, it really needs to wage a blitzkreig war. Wouldn't that be ironic?

Quote:
Quote:Liberty has the military forces to fight two houses at once and win (In RP).

I find this ridiculous, to be honest, considering the fact that Rheinland is the biggest producer of military vehicles in Sirius (Military vehicles infocard), and has an entire planet devoted to this (Nuremberg infocard).

Well, that piece of information is from vanilla, so however ridiculous it may sound, I don't think that Liberty would have cut its military spending much in seventeen years. The gap between Liberty and everyone else may have closed, but Liberty should still be overwhelming to a single house.

Liberty is far more prosperous of a house then Rheinland, in RP. And yes, in Vanilla there is a rumor from a Naval pilot that Liberty's military budget is based on a "two houses vs Liberty" inter-house war. And this is during peacetime....

Oddly, in RP, Rheinland pilots are veterans of war, but Liberty has a far larger and better equipped (in terms of new technology and ships, whereas Rheinland likely reuses old ships and equipment) albeit younger army. This, oddly, is reflected in player statistics as well.

Now, winning the war is a different thing altogether. If this was a "conquer the other house" war, then Liberty would hands down win. However, the goal of each house is different. If Rheinland's goal is to defend it's territory, then, it may win.

Not to mention Liberty has the vast funds to power the LSF, who now have the chance to do some James Bond style attacks on Rheinland.

One last thing....we have the Xenos....Those buggers are deadly in swarms.....

First I'm going to find a dictionary and look up kaliedescope,

Second ALG might have wast disposal in their name, but if you know the lore then you know that ALGs primary base is a smelter where they convert Scrap Metal into ship hull panels, in addition they also have the best MOX manufacturing methods in the sector, with the only competition being LD-14 in Leeds which uses older less effective methods and is also now stuck in the middle of a warzone.

Finally, yes the mining operations are under attack, but they have hardly stopped. Keep in mind that the corporations do hire bounty hunters to help keep the operations safe.

To those who say "Xenos" I say Bundschuh, Red Hessians (yes, really), to some extent Unioners... that's everybody. Fancy that. Liberty will have a hell of a time pushing farther into Rheinland than Planet Hamburg. However, if that's all they want, I think they'll be able to keep it. Rheinland's home field advantages after that point are far more pronounced than Liberties, after all most Liberty criminals hate Liberty whereas most Rheinland criminals will die for Rheinland; still, neither side has a good chance of actually conquering the other. The most likely result is that one side will get a little bit into the other's border system, then be unable to progress any further; both Texas and Hamburg have rather significant asteroid fields, after all, and New Berlin is layered in them.

My prediction: Liberty will outman/attrition the Rheinland Military out of the Bering/Hudson systems and progress no further than Planet Hamburg. At that point, the RM have only two entries to defend, in addition to the RH unlawfuls being able to make a solid go for LN supply lines.

EDIT about the mining: Both Liberty and Rheinland are horribly mined out. Sigma-13 is almost out of oxygen deposits and scrap metal, all the asteroid fields in Rheinland proper are barren from extensive mining and Dresden is starting to run low as well. However, the asteroid fields in Liberty aren't doing so well either, with (if vanilla is to be believed) no fields remaining commercially viable for long term production. Silver isn't exactly the most helpful element for warships, either. What Liberty *does* have in terms of raw materials is Pittsburgh and the scrap fields, an advantage not to be overlooked; although the Junkers will no doubt waylay any move on their business. I would actually give that point to Rheinland because of the mining operations in Omegas 3, 7, and 11, to which Liberty has nothing comparable.

Jesus, and I'm the guy who started that in the first place... you'd think I would remember by now. I'm sorry. LWB will join in the tromping of LN supply lines should they get their capitalist paws in Rheinland proper, yes?

Yep! The last time Rhienland lost a big war, we lost Stuttgart to Liberty, who wasn't even involved. Just think of what could happen now.

Stop plotting to make more synth paste, Liberty!:nono:

This thread makes me want to buy a Rheinland Cruiser.

Anything I say is not intended as offensive, and to try and deliberately misinterpret it as such would be an attempt at trolling via misrepresentation.

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

Honestly, if Liberty attacks Rheinland, and the Rheinland unlawfuls start screwing with the Liberty attack force, I would say it would be SORTA even.

EDIT: Modified.

While being quite funny, your sig was the biggest one i've ever seen so far. No more than 700x250 please. ~utrack
