I recently loaded this mod and overall it works fine except for one big problem. None of the new planets, bases, ships, and equipment have names or info. All the files are there and there's no effect on gameplay. I've tried removing the mod and reloading with a fresh install of FL with no effect. I even ran it through FL datastorm and it correctly had all the new items names and info-I just can't see them while playing. Any help would be appreciated.


PS--I went back and checked the Discovery dll file and its dated 12-1-2006. I realize that the $items relate only to mp. Two examples are the CSV on Manhatten which is identified correctly as the junkers/hogosha freighter but has no values in its infocard. The other is the RavensClaw on the junkers base in the new system. The base has no name or info and the RavensClaw shows only IDs with no other info available

I'm using the latest version 4.82 and am trying to play open sp.

I'm not sure, but it seems you have a corrupted version of Discovery. Restore backups in FLMM then redownload and reactivate Disco. Good luck!

thanks--I just tried that and still get the same result. I'm not sure if its the mod being corrupted or something simply relating to playing sp. I did check to see if all the dll files were there as called for in the freelancer.ini file and they are however I noticed that they all are dated 2-4-2003 while the Discovery dll file is dated 12-21-2006. Am not sure if that is an issue.

Remember that in order to activate the mod, your user needs admin privileges. If the user you are using does not have admin privileges, all attempts to write on program files will fail.

Activating the mod has not been a problem--I can do all the usual FL stuff like trading and fighting. Its just that all the new equipment and ships have no info or data. For example the x shuttle freighter on New Tokyo. All I see is the ship--there is no info about its weapons loadout or freight capacity. As I said above I checked FL DataStorm and all the new ships and weapons are there its just that during the game the infocards are blank. As for writing on the program files I would not have a clue on how even if I wanted to.

Well I've downloaded this mod 4 seperate times from four seperate servers and it still does not work.
As far as I can determine it is a problem that relates only to single player play.

To repeat--None of the new systems, ships, equipment, or commodities have any information or data associated with them. The only identifier is IDS? There is no effect on basic game play and the unknown items and ships work-- I just can't tell what they are and what they do.

At this point I've had to stop playing this mod until its fixed or someone can show me how to do a work around.
