Silver isn't exactly the most helpful element for warships, either. What Liberty *does* have in terms of raw materials is Pittsburgh and the scrap fields, an advantage not to be overlooked; although the Junkers will no doubt waylay any move on their business.

Two things:

One, aren't the Xenos out of work miners that lost their job because the work all dried up.

Second: Guess who got the contract to clean up the Liberty scrap fields, ALG. I also highly doubt that the Junkers could be trusted to preform military industrial levels of scrap collection without bankrupting Liberty via "fair" deals. Is there really any Bretonian or Liberty corperation that could preform scrap collection as ALG or the Junkers? Not to mention that in Rheinland even the Junkers sell their scrap to ALG (Its on a news report in one Rheinland bar) who smelt it. What I'm getting at is are any of the Liberty corporations equipped to convert scrap metal into usable ship hull panels? I honestly don't know. and if they aren't they will have trouble using all of the old ships floating around NY.

The Xeno and the Liberty Rogues don't hate Liberty, they hate the Liberty Government. However, they hate Rheinland more. Xeeners just don't like foreigners, and the Rogues probably wouldn't like the way Rheinland runs things. Not too sure about the Order, but I think that while they dislike the Liberty Navy/LSF, they wouldn't want to see Liberty in the hands of the Rheinlanders. Lane Hackers probably just don't give a damn.

For the Core.

I know for a fact that the LR work with the Unioners to aid in the diamond smuggling operation, so I doubt that the LR hate Rheinland to much...

Second, the Order consists of agents from all over the colonys, to be quite frank they should be working to prevent the war and stop it if they can't, not rooting for one side of the other as that would cause the Order to literally rip itself apart.

The LR will work with anyone if it gets them cash, that is all they care about. As for the war, i believe liberty is going to win. Lets face some facts here, yes liberty doesn't have allot of resource fields, but what they lack in that they more than make up with the fact that have several pieces of technology that no other house can get its hands on. Gate/lane parts for instance, if in the war against rheinland liberty decides to take on the lanes and gates, rheinland wouldn't be able to repair them because only DSE and Ageira know how to do that.

As for kusari joining in to attack liberty, that to is something i don't see happening. If kusari does that, they openly show that they support rheinland, and i am pretty sure the GMG wouldn't be happy about it. If the GMG then erects a blockade of its own between rheinland and kusari, what i think they would surely do, kusari would lose all access to foreign trade, as they are fighting liberty and bretonia, GMG blockading trade with rheinland. In other words, the end of the kusari war machine, as i am quite sure bretonia would then be able to push back kusari forces due to lack of reinforcements on the kusari side.

Rheinland ships should be far tougher?
Rheinland is sitting on much more resources than Liberty, that is true. But how much can they extract when their industries are being constantly harrassed by Corsairs and Hessians (Omega 7)?

I think that's seeing things through a kaliedescope.

Though, the longer the war goes on, the higher the likelihood that Liberty will be forced into a stalemate or conditional surrender. If Liberty is to win, it really needs to wage a blitzkreig war. Wouldn't that be ironic?
I find this ridiculous, to be honest, considering the fact that Rheinland is the biggest producer of military vehicles in Sirius (Military vehicles infocard), and has an entire planet devoted to this (Nuremberg infocard).

Well, that piece of information is from vanilla, so however ridiculous it may sound, I don't think that Liberty would have cut its military spending much in seventeen years. The gap between Liberty and everyone else may have closed, but Liberty should still be overwhelming to a single house.

I don't know. It's been twenty years since the Nomad War. Germany was fully disarmed after WW1, yet was able to make a huge military in under 10 years, once they started rearming. I imagine that with Planet Nuremberg being entirely devoted to military production, Rheinland will be tougher than some folk are expecting.

The Order actually enjoys a friendly-ish reputation with Rheinland due to the Wilde problem.

As for me I think Rheinland will have a good chance to win against the Liberty Navy (we have one of the biggest Battleships in game and in RP our forces are much more trained cause of the 80 year war and the nomad war). Still I was against this war since I heared from it. But I will defend my fatherland at all cost.
Rheinland! Rheinland! Rheinland!

Rheinland definately needs more troops, but I still think Liberty would win if it is allowed to continue. The reason I think that currently is because of the lack of Rheinland troops, if it were to even out I don't know who would win.

And i'm just your friendly neighboorhood Rheinlander.

That is true. Of course, Rheinland will be tougher than some people are expecting, but I still doubt that a force rebuilt twice over the years could match or overwhelm the Liberty navy, which has never lost a major pitched battle (to my knowledge, please correct me if I'm wrong). Liberty, like America, has a huge national defence budget. Liberty has also been the ones to bail out other governements when they were in a pickle before, so it should be logical to assume that the Libertonian economy is far more secure than the Rheinland economy.

I also thought that Military Vehicles were things like walkers and tanks, for ground invasions? If so, then Rheinland may lose ground in space, but be more than a match on the ground if the supply lines stay open. Then again, that doesn't factor in what the pirate factions are going to do. The Bundschuh and the Unioners could easily distrupt those lines if they supported Liberty, but could easily keep them open if they supported their home.

It's all just speculation, I guess.

Just an idea, if Rheinland was so superior on the ground, with the tanks and all, what would stop Liberty battleships, to bombard the planets?
