After reading Sivran's post, I remembered an encounter of mine with 3 pirate ships near California gate in NY.

I was flying my new shiny liner and 3 pirates (One had LR tag I believe, other two didn't have any faction IFF) tried to pirate me near the gate. I scanned their ships while RP'ing something (holding them off basicly), I realized that they were all a bit weak to pirate a liner, no bomber, no torpedos or CDs.

I decided to give my new ship a try and started attacking them.

It was 2-3 minutes later, 2 of them was dead and the final one was typing madly "PLEASE STOP, I WILL NEVER PIRATE YOU AGAIN!!!" while I was shooting at him just for fun (without killing him hehe). He even offered me some money over private chan.

I cannot remember the name, I would love to remember it though if you read it buddy, just msg me!

For those who don't know, the Lux. Liner has 11 turrets, 220k armor and 100k shield so it is a bit powerful to pirate without a bomber or similarly powered craft.

' Wrote:A friend and I were once looking to join the wilds. Not knowing that you applied for factions online, we flew into omega 55 with our gunboats and started asking one of the Das Wilde how to join. He took advantage of the opportunity and said that we had to chose from one of three missions to join.

The missions we took was to transport a load of artifacts to alpha, and sell them at malta. For some reason or another the Corsairs did not like kusari and rheinland gunboats in their space.

So once managed to escape with the artifacts, we took the long route through the sigmas then through kusari. We had one kusari officer try to make us drop our cargo but we did not comply (why he tried to stop 2 gunboats IDK). He threatened to report us to the LPI and the LNS, but we were not going to liberty. So we made it look like we were then we turned around and headed for the tau systems.

Once we made it to alpha there was an OC cap ship just sitting there scanning the cargo of incomers. My friend happened to be the first one through the JH. Unaware, I also jumped. We ran to the cloud on the other side of the system to hide. While we were in that cloud we devised a plan to get the artifacts to malta. My friend whent and distracted the cap while I docked and sold the artifacts. The cap was not pleased.

Later the next day, I did my research on the forums (one of my first visits to the forums), only to find that to join the wild you had to have an admin's permission.

Boy did we feel stupid after all the trouble.

Oh wow, I can't believe that you actually did that and succeeded.

FYI, I was the Wilde in O 55.

I had a feeling you would come forward if I posted here, and we did both make it out of there alive with only warnings:P. I eventually turned that char into a corsair GB char cause of the way my rep was screwed up since then.

So where is our wild status?

Edit: Oh, did I mention that we were noobs at the time?

1. Crashing my Kusarian Explorer into certain LSF officer, flying around with cruise kill in fighter, before planet Manhattan and with words " Just a friendly freelancer " bumping him into atmosphere, which resulted in his death and while of painfull silence.

2. Crushing my ship into atmosphere during turning, just after sending "My cargo is too precious to let anyone touch it"

3. Shooting down Light fighter which attacked my destroyer for more than 20 minutes. *waves to someone*

4. Saying "Crete is such a great place, my second home, which I will always like to visit again" right after undocking Malta.

Head-hurt: When my Junker full of Cardamine was killed by Outcasts tagged/IDed destroyer in Alpha with " We won't tolerate cardamine here "

Pirating an advanced train in an Eagle in .84 when vanilla vulnerability existed, and, in desperation at the fact that I was doing very little actual damage (Was a Hogosha Eagle...Drakes sucked, big time), began minespamming in an attempt to actually blow some stuff off at the very least. My first, last and fatal mistake...

"Gaijin trader, you will have to pay me a 1 million credit tax to export those goods"

*Boom*

"Oops..."

I was playing once at work, had just bought a Whale and had -just- enough money for a full load of slaves.

Was flying when my boss came around, tabbed out I proceeded to shoot the bull with him.

Tab back in to a face full of respawn screen and the zone-21 mine field.

Mining silver in a Whale is less than an adventure.

Thats why you learn to slow down before you alt tab out.

While being quite funny, your sig was the biggest one i've ever seen so far. No more than 700x250 please. ~utrack

hahaha, great one.

I had that one time also in Omega 3. A pirate stopped me and demanded a tax. I was in my ad. train (4.84)
he had no cd and relative weak weaponry. so I refused and demanded credits from the pirate for wasting my time. I know I wasn`t allowed to pirate in a trader but I was just having a laugh. after shooting him up untill he was half dead he paid me 2 mils to spare his life:P

I paid him 3 mils a minute later. luckily the guy appriciated the joke. his name was spanish sounding. Diego something I believe.
