So how did you come across discovery? And what made you want to download it and get into the community?
I started experimenting with minor mods from Lancer's Reactor until I found this mod and thought i'd give it a whirl after reading the description. Befere then I had no idea that mods of this size were even possible to be added into freelancer.
My use of Random Page on TVTropes(disclaimer: Thexare is in no way responsible for lost productivity resulting from this link) led me to Freelancer. And since the one thing I like about PC gaming is mods, I did a search for Freelancer mods.
I saw a long feature list and an active RP community, so here I am.
Playing disco was actually my first experience of playing FL online. Prior to that I had only played the single player game then given it away to a friend. it was only when I decided to repurchase the game last year that I started playing again and 'discovered' disco (ho ho ho...)
Well, first server I tried was Void, which I found by picking the server in the global list with the highest player cap.
Then, after noticing that Void is boring, completely unbalanced, lame, and entirely PvP oriented...I looked for something new.
I don't remember what lead me here but, I'm glad I found Discovery.
Has anyone else played on Void recently?
Do they still have the disgusting crayon-drawn hideous ships as the best in the game?
I hated that the most...
Tarkis, I blame you for both Void AND Disco. What was that Void pirate faction we were in? I don't remember. All hail the Nomad Valkyrie! Gah! Those models were hilarious though... Well, I'm glad ya twisted my arm hard enough for me to log on in the first place.
I was actually looking for a class 7 shield, I do believe, when I first came across the knowledge that the Freelancer universe existed outside of the 4 houses (yeah, I thought Tau-29 was the edge of known space), and then started to discover new ships...I believe I found the mod while browsing Eagle/Sabre/Titan balance...
