There was one base killing mission I couldn't do solo, and that was the very first "Kill the Rogue Base" in SP campaign with King. Only because by the time you kill the Weapons Platforms the Bomber Wing swoops in and owns the base instantaneously. Any base killing mission afterward is cake. I agree with many others to make Base-Slaying a team event.

Has anyone noticed that weapons platforms seem to have extremely powerful missiles, even at lower levels?

On big bases, it would be nice to see some pay a few million to take out a well-defended base.

Tbh, only "hard and annoying" missions are actually "kill all ships" missions. Im looking on it this way. To compleate 300-400k mission(any other mission than kill all) you need full 5-7 minutes with travel time taken into account. (Also I am talking taken if you are fully equiped VHF/HF and pilot with at least some skill)

Base missions actually take longer than some assasination missions. But on other hand, base missions are extremely fun to do, since we all like to blow things up for money.

Also I think mission award system should be upped up to 1.5 or 2 mils for super tough missions that take over 3 ships to finish. That would give good alternative even to some events, for example, destroy base mission if hard enough and with some player oponents can be made into cool event with more than sun suicide later on.

If I was unclear, its 4.30 am and i need to get some sleep.

we just really need more pay on capital ship destroying mission because you cant really do it alone unless you have a Battleship..Base destroying mission is too easy for capital ships..too annoying for fighters...i would say the base can spam Battleship missiles and flaks..so it force fighter to use Torpedo instead of normal guns..(NPC doesnt know how to use flak to destroy the torpedo right?)

Yeah, try it. It's a FL bug in all known mods afaik.

Blow up everything EXCEPT for the station, then sit still in a fighter.

If anyone finds what station is used for destruction missiles, please let me know. There are about 100 of them, find them find stats you want, we can easily place them in.

I only do missions for rep fixing. I just find them dull. From that standpoint, the base-kill ones are fine as they are.

BUT

Yes. A BIG yes, to creating high payout missions specifically targetted at requiring multiple ships for completion. This would be a fantastic addition. I love Dustys idea of the mad base engagement.

That's anti-cap missions now.

With their current payout they'll give you some 6 mil/hour per group member if you do them with 3 people. Due to the loot the caps carry.

I have very little idea how to actually edit missiles themselves, so I can't help much more.
