At Havoc, the SNAC stopped shooting for me half way up the screen >.<
May be because of the position of SNAC under the wings, so when target comes in above a defined firing arc it can't shoot anymore.
Same may go for Upholder, just other way round. Try it, don't have time/money/knowledge-how-to-work-with-Ioncross(alwaystellsmesafeisbuggedgrrgrrrrr). Look where your SNAC is mounted and whereto it can aim.
In a brilliant tactical movement, i charged backwards.
Not a bomber, but Bull Dog pilots report this same feature when trying to fire a Mini Razor. Thankfully, torpedoes work just fine.
Guns not being able to aim a certain point up through the model of the ship is a pretty common complaint. It's compounded by the fact that many ships will lean into a turn if they need to turn to orient their nose at a ship while aiming. This lean means that while the ship is turning, the opposing ship is now almost directly above the bomber and the SN can't point there.
It leads to a lot of frustrating perfectly aimed shots and guns not going off.
You're not crazy. I have had the same problems. I'd like to know just how many times I've went to fire my SN and got nothing because of the poor firing arc. I just moved on to the Roc for my LPI. It's a shame though cause it is a sexy ship.
