Sabor has/have been sanctioned owing to a report posted on the 09/04/2009 for:
Quote:5.6 If a player engages cruise engine or docks during a PvP fight, this player is considered fleeing. The fleeing player must leave and may not re-enter the system where the fight took place with any of the characters on his/her account(s) while the enemy (player or players involved in the fight) remains in the system, but no more than 4 hours.
Consequences: Fined all credits and guns, notifications in hold
Notes: Not going to apologise for using cruise to catch up? Bet you will now. Don't do it.
You know, that rule is alright and all, but you have that part below it '"However, the fleeing player can re-engage at will if chased." Well what about the guy chasing? would he not have to engage cruise to chase? Is he not considered fleeing? Where's the line drawn that Chasing and Fleeing are two separate things where one is allowed and one isn't, I wasn't fleeing from a fight, I was chasing a guy who insisted on making the fight a long chase through the badlands... I don't understand that at all, nor was I the only one fighting him, he was never not engaged the entire time, From the time the three of us started shooting, until he died, there was not one moment where he was not being shot at from someone in Range
*EDIT*
After a short talk with one of my faction's Top Dogs, He said one thing that was short, simple and clarifies the rule and erases the confusion I had about it
Quote:It's simply that you can't use cruise if the person you're chasing hasn't. That's all it is.
So my apologies to... well he knows who he is, he asked for one before reporting and I refused, thinking I had done nothing wrong
For you understand why this rule is, just take the place of the fighter craft.
A fighter cannot take down a capital ship alone (unless it's a well trained bomber) so he should flee using his thrusters having no more choices. Trying to engage is simple suicide, cruising is impossible due to enemy disruptors.
If the capital ship could cruise to catch up, it would ruin the game play, the fighter having no more choice but the death.
Don't think about the death message but the game play. It's all what everyone will ask everyone else;)
(PS : Be sure you are far to be the first cruising to catch up, and maybe not the last even if it should be.)
