GC Ship Ideas

"Amaterasu" Class Golden Chrysanthemum Gunboat

Developed by Golden Chrysanthemum, Outcast and Blood Dragon engineers aboard Takada Shipyards with funding from Outcasts, Junkers and (it is rumoured) Bretonia, the Amaterasu was built for elegance, manoeuvrability and punishing offensive ability. Using an advanced power core developed through research into the Ekitei X-Ray Pulsar at Kawada Research Station, the Amaterasu combines form with function to strike fear into the hearts of those who would oppress the rights of Kusari women. The design of the Amaterasu is jealously guarded by the Sisterhood, and never seen outside the hands of the GC and their allies.

GC "Petal" Light Fighter

Fast, beautiful and deadly, the Petal Light Fighter was based on the design of a captured Kusari State Police Drake brought to Kawada Research Station. The ship was disassembled and intensely studied by GC researchers, who used it to hone the designs for their own prototype light fighter.
The Petal combines elegance and manoeuvrability with enough firepower to challenge any Police, Navy, Hogosha or Alliance ship foolish enough to take it on. When used in conjunction with Orchid bombers, Blossom very heavy fighters and the formidable Amaterasu gunboat, it forms part of a strike force that can make even the most hardened Kusari lawful pilot think twice before challenging them.

"Sunflower" GC Combat Freighter (Ktayn's idea, I just wrote an infocard)

With cardamine flow from Omicron Alpha and Tau-65 steadily increasing, the Golden Chrysanthemums needed a way to move their goods into Kusari space without the authorities disrupting their smuggling routes. To this end, Takada engineers, in conjunction with Outcast and Junker specialists, designed the "Sunflower" Combat Freighter. Specialising in making swift deliveries to Roppongi and back, the Sunflower combines an ample cargo hold with the capacity to put plenty of hurt on anyone trying to attack it, to make sure the GC's smuggled goods arrive intact and on time, every time.

Gaian Ship Ideas

"Star Shepherd" (//name can be changed) Class Gaian Combat/Rescue Yacht

The Star Shepherd was developed by a group of Gaian engineers who clung relentlessly to their environmental ideals, upon hearing of the relentless poaching of Gaia's unique wildlife by unscrupulous black marketeers. The Cambridge-educated team eventually came up with a design that combined ample storage space for rescued animals with the firepower needed to liberate them from those holding them captive. Sadly, most modern Gaians have since ignored the true, noble purpose of the Star Shepherd, instead using it to commit acts of conventional piracy against innocent traders.

"Dirk" Gaian Light Fighter

The Dirk was developed by the Gaians with the assistance of their Farmers' Alliance allies in Kusari as the perfect strike craft against BMM, OSC and Planetform. Despite its odd-sounding name, often laughed at in police circles, Bretonian lawfuls know that this ship is not to be trifled with or underestimated - increased power rating, superb handling and a powerful punch mean the Dirk has replaced the CTE civilian series as the preferred light fighter among all self-respecting defenders of Gaia.

FA Ship Idea

"Bassuru" Class Farmers' Alliance Gunboat

The Bassuru was designed by Samura Heavy Industries for their Farmers' Alliance allies, to counter the advanced capital and fighter-class ships being developed by the Blood Dragons and Golden Chrysanthemums. Since its implementation, the Bassuru has been involved in many assaults by the Farmers' Alliance against anti-government forces and foreign shippers alike, pleasing Samura to no end and persuading them to continue bankrolling the ship's production.
Like the "Mamoru" bomber, the Bassuru has also found its way into the hands of the Gaians, who use it to strike at Bretonia from behind enemy lines.

These are just infocards, they still need stats, models et cetera. But what does everyone think of the ideas?

Moar GC ships? +1 (I'd surely fly them all)
New Gaian ships? +1
New Pitchfork ship? -1
(Okay, I may be biased a bit due to the fact i have -some- GC chars:P, so +1 for giving me more to blow up)

Else than that? :ylove:

I actually like the cactus names for Gaian ships.

Saguaro Super Heavy Fighter!

Barrel Cactus Heavy Fighter!

Ok, maybe better options, but I'd like the Gaians to get an HF and an SHF instead of LF/VHF and bomber. No real reason other than it seems more flexible than having more uni-purpose ships, given the Gaians' thoughts.

I would like to see some more GC ships as well
I'm not very experienced in ship modelling but a couple of months ago I was trying some stuff out. I was trying to make a GC light fighter with a blossom design in the ship.
I will post the image of the GC shippy. I used the kusari light fighter and changed it a bit.
Maybe someone can work out the idea some more.

Looks good, but could there perhaps be a compare with the current GC VHF for seeing it's size?
As i'm thinking it might be as big as the Dragon, and the shippy left of it looks to me like the Blood Dragon, which would be a VHF, not LF.

The GC do not need a Gunboat or a Light Fighter. Furthermore, where would they get the materials, know-how, or location to build a Gunboat? No, they don't need either. They have the Griffin, and rely on hit-and-ruin terrorist tactics. They need neither a Light Fighter, nor a Gunboat.

the Gaians do not need a personal fighter. They have the Griffin and the Eagle, which are supplied to them through their legal Green Front. The largest cause for invention is necessity. Quite frankly, here there is none.

The FA do not need a Gunboat. Sure, Samura could build it for us, but, why? We're less discreet using such a large ship, obviously given to us by some power somewhere. Eventually someone is going to point fingers, and if enough fingers are pointed, one will point in the right direction, and then the Shogunate has to do something to suppress such finger pointing, like sanctioning Samura, which would cause its downfall in its competition with Kishiro.

The Freighters are a good idea. Everything else, no.

Yes well as I said before I used the Kusari light fighter, so its basically the same size.
Only the sails give it a slightly larger and aggressive look.
Bellow are the main ships in Kusari compared in size with each other.
Notice how the blossom design at the back of the ship is also visible from the bottom of the ship. I made it so the flower is seen from the front, back, top and bottom of the ship.

@Cobalt: with those wings, the LF is as big as the (v)HF's. Maybe make the wings a bit smaller. Just my thoughts.
