I had a lot of free time between my classes today and I decided to make some medals and ribbons for the Liberty Navy. Right now I only have two but I'll work on some when I get more ideas.
Liberty Navy Purple Heart
The Liberty Navy Purple Heart is awarded to any member of the Liberty Navy that has been wounded or killed while serving. (in order to qualify for the Purple Heart, you must have a record that you have been shot down 10 times (screenshots should suffice) and/or confirmed by a ranking officer of the Liberty Navy (Sub-Lieutenant and higher) durring a special even involving [LN] forces.
Liberty Navy Distinguished Service Medal
The Liberty Navy Distinguished Service Medal is bestowed upon members of the Liberty Navy who distinguish themselves by exceptionally meritorious service to Liberty in a duty of great responsibility. The term great responsibility implies senior military responsibility, and the decoration is normally only bestowed to senior Navy Officers. The decoration is rarely awarded to enlisted personnel, and then only to those who hold senior positions such as Lieutenant. This Medal is normally awarded by the Admiral or the Vice Admiral.
So what do you think of it? Feedback? Suggestions? Ideas for a Medal?

You have no idea how easy this is if it's just "shot down 10 times". Especially if it was me. >_> That requirement needs to go or be changed considerably...
I was going to do it for other factions, but the [LN] came to mind first (seeing as I'm in it) if you want medals and ribions for your faction, feel free to ask and give me details on what you need in it.

Still a bit low in my opinion. Honestly, I don't think that kind of award translates well to Freelancer at all. Maybe if it was only awarded for being shot down in special events it'd work.

The LR and IMG (factions that I'm in) don't need that sort of thing, though I'd recommend an Overkill badge for the jerks that take a gunboat and two fighters against a bomber and a VHF.

I really like the look of them, it looks like you put a lot of time and effort into this. I think it could enhance the LN's gameplay. I was working on some ribbons for the LPI to go on the signature block.
