OSC - SEREGROS.......
Captains Log.......
Captain Todd Quinlan......Verified
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another week he says now, may as well be another fracken year. This is the last time I trust that slimy weasel Conrad down in Baltimore. I've been working for him for...what... 17 months now, and this is how he treats me. "Help my buddy on Denver and I help you with what you want", bah, he's full of it. "Scratch my crotch and I'll scratch your eyes out" more like it! So he has me hauling Superconductors and Super Alloy in some pretty backwater dumps, in this hunk of junk, Dubed the 'Seregros', what the hell is that even supposed to mean!?! All when I should be walking VIPs and tourist through Sirus' pleasing views. But no, I have Carl Fitzgibbon a com officer who can't even stay awake for a 3 hour relief shift, and every time Hoshi Takimora takes the stick he likes to see how close to an asteroid he can pass without a breach. The crap I put up with! A wise man once said, "When you're flying through hell, keep flying", yeah I'm in hell right now.

That reminds me, it's been a while since I got any rest, or time for this log for that matter, my ship was supposed to be built by now, not drydock authorisation possibly coming in a month or two...ahhhhh. What was I saying... oh, yeah, we've had a pretty clear run so far, apart from that Molly Destroyer we faced off when O'Brien took that wrong lane yesterday morning, but a couple of days ago we were completing our regular run through Magellan and without our knowing (thanks to Carl) a pirate had been traking us since our entry to the system. Just as we were initiating trade-lane entry the gate shut down and we recieved a one million credit demand for passage. Seriously, the audacity of this little fellow, he threw a few warning shots into our shield, so I showed him what I thought of him and ordered all batteries to extermination spead. Melted his defensive shields like butter under a fussion core! Hahahaha, then just for a laugh, at point blank range, this little pipsqueek launches a torpedo battery at us.... point black, with no shields, against a vessel with superior defensive systems.
Lets just say, his ship didn't stay in one piece, and I collected some nice ordinance to sell to my contact on Rio Grande.

To top off that little fun, today (after speaking to Conrad) we made one last haul to Newcastle before docking for a much needed systems overhaul, when what should happen but Carl notices a signal following us. A quick diagnostic confirmed it was the same neuralnet ID that... dented our shields last time "Dracus" a different ship of course, but definently the same pilot. The little weasel tracked us through Magellan, and even through to Leeds, all the while singing threats into open coms. couldn't catch up though, but still funny. So it looks like I've made a friend out here, one who doesn't like to be beat at his own game.

So I'm stuck here in Lancaster of all places while the crew repairs, when I should be living in style aboard my own little heaven....soon, almost touchable. The Gilded Albatross will fly, no matter how many strings I have to pull.
- T. R. Quinlan, captain.
