I'm pretty sure the playable nomad LF has always had a shield mount. It did in 83, as I remember(pretty sure I wouldn't have flown it otherwise), and I don't think there were any changes to the Easter eggs before that...I wasn't aware the restricted nomad fighter had gotten cm/mine, and I contest the suggestion that in 84 it was to responsive to be playable (I played it).
Personally, if any changes were to be made to it, I'd suggest it lose some armour and B/B (because, 60 b/b is rather a lot, and 9800 armour is again, rather a lot)
I think it has always had a shield mount in //discovery//, but in vanilla, it definently did not. And I agree with Unselie, that it should have less armor, and batteries/nanobots.

...
(Dont say ahh its because the keepers are RPrs and stuff, Because over 95% of the time when you RP with a keeper you end up fighting it.)
Because it's not SUPPOSED to be balanced. You're supposed to fear the Keepers, just as you're SUPPOSED to fear Mon'Star. Those who have no self-survival instincts tend to be good for population control, because that gene gets bred out of the species.
Sure, you MAY end up fighting them - but if YOU were RP'ing YOUR character correctly and find yourself nose to nose with a Keeper, you should be hoping you had your brown spacesuit on, and running for your life. I've gone up against Keepers a grand total of twice so far. One on one wasn't too bad - considering I was in a gunboat. When the second one showed up, I ran like hell for FP11. The second time I ran into them - ended quite badly for the two players I was with, and the only reason they didn't get me was a flock of NPC's came along and distracted them enough for me to run.
Frankly I could care less if Keeper ships had Admin cannons and class 1,000,000 shields. As long as only true experienced RP'ers are allowed in, and all the lawlnewb pwnz0rs are kept out.
This thread is about as intelligent/useful as your complaints about Mon'Star getting his own ship and your arguements that Ageira have the access to Alaska. Putting aside RP, I'd say it's because nine times out of ten they're being ganked 5 - 1 odds, and that's when they're lucky enough that somebody doesn't pull two Dreads and a Battlecruiser on their arse.
