I was wandering if anyone was looking into the Planetary defence grid for the planets in New York System? I read were the planets and stations are to be defended. I was thinking the station defence grid like the one on Livadia Shipyard would be perfect for Pittsburg and manhatten. Because it is the Home world of Liberty, Manhatten should have a very strong defence grid. I was thinking that there should be a missile plateform on each Trade lane nearest to the planets. 4 Missile plateforms around newark station ( 1 on top and 1 on bottom), and 2 near trent station, and 2 next to the planetary Gate, and last but not least 6 more spread around the main area 3K from the Manhatten docking ring. Planet Pittsburg and other stations should get the 6 missile defence plateforms. I make this recommendations based of the amount of upheaval in new York. There isn't another system that has this much out-law traffic. If you need anymore information, please ask.
A tad bit overkill? Also, weapon platforms can do squat, you just plant a SNAC or a torpedo to shut them up for a bit. I think this may slightly increase lag in the system too.
While I am for a bit of extra defence, I'd put it at Texas, because you know, the Rheinland is going to come a knocking.
Should be overkill. It is the Liberty throne world after all.
All home planet should be overkill.
When I see a xeno wandering within manhattan airspace I really, really ask myself questions.

True, but there needs to be a bit of balance for RP fun for both sides. But stay the damn away from the planet AND the Bush Mann trade lane. :nono:
I find more pirate/rogue/hacker gunships in that trade lane than I can find Nomads in Omicron Iota.
But yeh, that would probably be a nice description. Why can it not be on battleships? Because it requires more power than a sun/battleships power supply.
I throw my support to the gigantor Liberty beam cannon.
"The thirteen saloons that had lined the one street of Seney had not left a trace. The foundations of the Mansion House hotel stuck up above the ground. The stone was chipped and split by the fire. It was all that was left of the town of Seney. Even the surface had been burned off the ground.
Nick looked at the burned-over stretch of hillside, where he had expected to find the scattered houses of the town and then walked down the railroad track to the bridge over the river. The river was there."
