during SP i found a rumor about atomic comression technolodgy and how transports could not take that much cargo without it.

i cannot be stuffed uploading it so i'll copy it:

I voted no. Igiss and the developers have worked hard to balance the mod nicely and I appriciate that. If this happens all ship and good prices will have to change. Itl be an economic anarchy. Some mods ive tried are compleatly unbalanced but this one...please *falls to knees* Im...im begging you! Dont let it become like them. :sleep:

Not Mox, or anything that has a selling point above 1,000$ in any place. Oxygen can be compressed, This would make sense to me, it is quite a great idea, Those Oxygen routes are quite useless.

Food, water, and Oxygen only to 0.1

Toxic Waste and Terreforming gasses to 0.5

I'd even go so far as to say....
Hydrocarbons, HFuel, and Neon to .8 or so...they're all gasses

I'd also like to see things like Engine Components, cryocubes, and Mining machinery to > 1.5. These are large commodities, and (like Ship Hull Panels) should reflect that.

Realism. ( Keep in mind it's extremely out of roleplay to have Oxygen cost as much as luxuries or something. So just a adjustion of price is not enough, as it'd make things look unrealistic and weird.)

Doesn't hurt.

Inovation.

More commodities to trade.

I won't say any numbers as I dunno much about balancing, but what I will do is throw in my support for the general idea.

I had a similar idea, but I came up with a possibly even easier solution. Don't change the size of the commodities (I think 1 cargo slot is the smallest it can be anyways) but just boost the prices for oxygen, water, food, etc, to represent the decreased cargo space they take. So the new oxygen commodity would cost 10 times the amount of the current oxygen commodity at every base, and sell for 10 times more, but only take up one slot. Add something to the infocard that says "This oxygen has been highly compressed blahblahblah" and there you go.
