I think he's challenging it privately, not publicly. Can't blame him considering the attitude he receives from people, much of it undeserved.

Also, Snake does raise a valid point. Which raises a question. If LH is giving out its tag to anyone and they aren't technically members, than it shouldn't count. However, if they are tagged, shouldn't they be considered part of the faction regardless? LH~ would be responsible for anything he does. So they can make that choice and get the benefits, but also the consequences.

A person who maintains a faction tag is representing that faction, unless the presiding faction either makes steps to have that tag removed or the person in question pulls a stunt within a reasonable span of time of renaming which places an unfair burden on said presiding faction to identify and strip the holder.

That's really the only reasonable mechanism for denouncing persons randomly adopting tags against a faction's will. If a body adopts a faction's tag and it is tolerated there's no reason otherwise to suppose that they are not, in fact, a member of the faction. Unless someone can point to a rule which says otherwise there is no ruling demanding that a faction maintain a hard and fast roster or, really, place any burden on their members at all.

Afterall, should the members of a faction do something out of turn it damages the faction thereby creating an increasing likelyhood that the faction will be disbanded. Which makes it a sort of self maintaining system.

Of course the old CR demonstrated that members of and the faction itself can receive something on the order of a hundred billion sanctions before they're not disbanded, so I suppose that system isn't the most effective.

No.

1: They may not know how to, before I joined [U] their tag was not passworded
2: They may empower indies without making them members per se
3: They may use multiple tags. LH~ for example is largely inaccurate, as it is only really used for trainees (probationary members only during the initiation) and recruits. Most others use aliases or LH. to prevent metagame.
4: They may specifically declare that indies may not use their tag but leave it unpassworded and not enforce it via FR2

*shrug* Their perogative how they want to handle their recruitment. If their recruitment consists of "Set your tag to LH~ and play a hacker" then so be it. A lower joining treshold I can't think of.

Posting in regards to the activity level of Orbital Spa and Cruise for the past month.

Given all our activity issues I think we did great. With so many members doing tests for school as well as a couple members suffering other problems, I am still rather glad.

In retrospect however, if you do have an interest in Orbital, please do not hesitate in joining. We would greatfully benefit from those who can join us. Please make applications here.

My interest is in LH, and its unique way of counting time. Everyone can put LH~ tag while not being part of faction ( only possible recruits )

I'm starting to think that your only way to feel important is to stir up trouble for others.
