Since the Aeria was assigned to Omega 56 I have been bored as hell. so I decided to keep up a log from now on. Fill my time with something... usefull. usefull, yeah right. of course I`ll have Jake and Aron write some stuff down as well. just to annoy the hell out of them, and thus for my amusement.
Dashiell.

DAY 1
log ID: Dashiell "misery" Damoclass, captain
opening log:
Well, first entry. assigned to guard duty in Omega 56 after a long period in the hot zone. Do they want me to walk out the airlock meself? it`s so damn boring here. it`s already getting on my nerves after just 2 days. patrolling this godforsaken place. no one ever comes here.
So why the hell patrol here huh? no one wants to come to this desolated, dead end piece of crap space. and I fully understand. Man. only good thing here is Feroza. quite a nice view. got scolded for floating around it too long. I was "neglecting my very important patrol duty". pschaw. patrol paschmol. when do they let me get outta here? I`m going nuts. thank god I was able to get a new guitar on capetown. its former owner thought he could beat me at poker... ha, fool. I may be a crap captain but I`m good at poker.
A nice, jet red AXL Clutch. oh yeah baby. I`m gonna wail like crazy and annoy the hell out of Jake. he`s too uptight anyway. So off I go.

DAY 1
log ID: Jake "chief" Rolefs, 2nd in command
opening log:
Another one of captain Misery`s great ideas...
Wants me to write something... how pointless. but if he orders me to write something, I will.
I`m sure he`s just out to annoy me...
so, we`re at Alabama shipyard, patrolling the Omega 56 system on a daily basis. It`s nice and quiet. no alarms ringing, no constant attacks, and no bloody nomads. I tried to get tranferred to the Sangraal when I heard it was the next ship on guard duty. alas, no such luck. I`m stuck on this ship of misery...
I`m quite bored now, and I`m suprised that I have the luxury to enjoy being bored. So I`ll keep entering stuff here I guess. If something happens that is...
Misery has yet hit another low. what the hell is this crap? might as well use it for meself to keep track of my weapon system evaluation.
stationed in 56 now, we have nothin` to do but suckin` dust and shooting at fake targets. oh well, as long as we get to shoot at stuff.
The drive of the mortar`s been acting funny lately and turrets 2,3, 7 and 12 don`t turn as fast as they used too. guess it`s time to work on those babies. we need that pulse cannon really bad out there. did I mention I love those things? not as much as the mortar though. I mean, a big ball o death causing an explosion that makes yer peepee stand on end. god I love that thing too... or, the sound our primary turrets make. like thunder. a nice, ear soothing rumbling of pure mayhem.
some of the guys over at engeneering say I have a gun fetisch. pff, screw them. they can`t appriciate a good weapon. I always say: a good weapon is better than good armour. if the other guy gets blown up first, who needs armour? Jake tends to disagree though. he`s the cautious type I guess. well, that`s all I can think of now.
What the hell? 2 suprises today. 1; we have a new model battleship lying in dock. looks like a fish with an attitude. same specs though. heard the shield bubble is smaller than the previous one. good. less trips to the escape pods I hope. we`ll have to see how this new Aeria performs.
2nd suprise: the Aeria has been re-assigned to Delta. back in havoc mode. can`t wait to fry some nomads and canniballs. although those Order lads... I dunno. Everytime we fight em I get the feeling we`re shooting the wrong guys. anyway, back to the front lines, out of this rathole. cheers.

DAY 7
log id: Jake "chief" Rolefs, 2nd in command
opening log:
Damnit!
Orders came through, back to jelly central. I tried locking meself up in the loo on Capetown but to no avail...
I don`t care for this new model BB either. all I care for is me sanity and me life. goodbye days of summer. Back to hell now. shyte.
end of log.

DAY 8
log id: Aron "biggunz" Swordsmith
opening log:
well, so much for weapons testing. time for the real deal. heard we`re moving back to Dabadoru tomorrow. see what this new baby can do. the issues with the turrets I mentioned in my first entry are solved, seeing as the whole ship is new. quite the awesome piece o pie she is. back to the front lines, and back in bussiness baby!
Home sweet home. back on the front lines. Dabadoru was quite lively. The docks were crammed full with cargo ships leaving and entering. apperantly hauling massive amounts of synth paste. some guy thought he was funny. he organised an "all ya can eat" competition. little did I know...
of course I entered Jake. the man needs some nurishment. he`s way too skinny.
later I heard it was baaaadd paste. Now I`m sure he`s gonna hold it against me. saying I knew all along. still, he won our bet, he ate more paste than all the other competitors. I`ll give him his 1000 credits if he ever comes back from the loo.
end of log.

DAY 10
log id: Jake "Chief" Rolefs
opening log:
what a way to start... If I get my hands on Misery I`ll stuff the 10 kilos of organic waste I just unloaded right down his throat. The man is evil beyond words. uugghh... damnit. again... the cramps...
Well. where too start? the Aeria has been severly damaged in a fight againt an Corsair legate. those things are quite sturdy. I think they are hewed out of solid concrete. the thing just wouldn`t blow up.
we took massive fire from the dreadnought. the side thrusters weren`t working properly so we couldn`t evade as good as we could have. after a severe beating the core went berserk and all systems shut down and an explosion cleared out the 1st engine room. 12 deads so far, will be more I guess. we still haven`t been able to clear out the debris on deck 4 where the enige room was located. it`s a bloody mess. with the emphasis on "bloody".
1 good thing though: Misery`s been seriously injured. he took a face full of glass and metal when the left terminal wall on the bridge exploded after a mortar hit the Aeria whilst the shield was down. He`s in medical now, still unconcious. I`m sure his looks won`t improve when they yank all the excess material from his face and chest. I quietly hope that he won`t ever wake up...
if he finds out his guitar was left on board as all hands abbandoned ship, all hell will break loose.
so summarise: the Aeria Gloris is out of commission. the immobile wreckage was salvaged and is in dock 3 now on dabadoru, undergoing repairs. will take some time to get her sorted...
EDIT:
just received word that 3 more bodies were found on deck 4. also, one of the lads who was in medical died. so we are at 16 dead now, 37 injured including the commander and Biggunz.
guess I have all the time in the world now to play some poker, hone my skills for when Misery wakes up. if ever.
end of log.

DAY 13
log ID: Aron "Biggunz" Swordsmith
opening log:
WE NEED BIGGER GUNS!
man, what an embarresing sight. we might as well have thrown rocks at the bleedin`canniball boat.
argh!
I`m gonna see if I can get 2 more reactors fit on the Aeria, and 30 more turrets.
damnit! and why did they pump me full of morfine? that stuff makes me too damn frisky.
Well, the Aeria is back in working order. ran some system checks and after a dozen testflights she seems combat capable.
Aron`s gazillion guns were not approved though. big suprise. that bloke is so fixated on firepower... he would have ductaped 2 extra reactors to the outside of the hull if it were up to him. thank god it isn`t. since Misery is still a mess, I`ll be commanding the Aeria Gloris for the time being.
If all entries stop from this point on, know that I`m a crap commander.
Well, no real action the past few days. chased some crazy corsairs off that were hanging around the Dabadoru docks. no combat sorties. that`s good.
what`s bad: Misery`s back. he`s still not 100 % (he never was or will be...) and he won`t asume command yet, but in a few days he will I bet. Now he`s just on board to see how things are going. and annoying us with that bloody guitar of his.
Still, if the commander is in charge again, no one can blame me if we go up in flames.
First real fight for me as substitute commanding officer. one of our dessie encountered a corsair Legate. it was just sitting there. normally we wouldn`t bother with it. but this one had hunters on board. the Legate remainend silent untill the Boneyard opened up on her after several attempts at communication.
we joined in and let rip. the new energy efficient turrets seem to help a lot. we do have less firepower now though. I expected Aron to flip out at the thought of having less firepower. but he was the one who cooked up the idea. seems to work though...
the battle was won with only minor damage to the hull.
one of the gunners took a shot of the last moments of the Guardia.
Misery will be back in charge from tomorrow on. don`t know if I should be happy or depressed about that. less guitar noise to make me go nuts, but more risk of getting blown up.
note to self: thank Aron for his help commanding in the last sortie, and take seat closest to the escape hatch fom now on.
end of log.

DAY 28
log ID: Aron "Biggunz" Swordsmith
opening log:
great. the new turrets seem to work. they have a lower power output, and thus less range and power, but the reactor is coping better with em. we can fire about 40% more folleys before the reactor is drained.
I hate to admit it, but less firepower seems to work out quite well. hell, the main gun was able to fire an extra shot due to the power left in the core. pretty sweet. Jake seems to be one fine captain. I feel for him, being stuck on this tub. oh well, he`s the reason we`re still alive today. I`d hate to see him leave one day.
Been quite a while since I last made an entry here. I`ve been out cold for some days. of course I woke up the second they started to operate on me. of all the luck...
awakening while someone is yanking pieces of keyboard and monitor shards out of your face hurts. a lot.
My face has been remodeled. it looks like the surface of the moon now. some of the keyboard-goats, as I like to call the female bridge officers, are having quite some laughs around me lately. I`ll stick em on latrine duty, see em laugh at that. obnoxious, disrespectfull AUTO CENSOR INITIATED their mothers AUTO CENSOR INITIATED untill they AUTO CENSOR INITIATED and AUTO CENSOR INITIATED. that should teach em.
As for Jake, I`m unpleasently suprised. I hate to see him do better than me at commanding the ship. maybe he should share the fate of forementioned type-goats. that way he`ll watch out not to overshadow me.
First trip out in combat and wham, single trip to the escape pods. lost my guitar , again. damnit.
how come I always have the worst luck. obviously it`s not MY fault the ship was critically damaged.
That Osiris was just a wee bit too strong for our cute lil guns. He`s on my list though, next time his ass is grass. I`ve ordered a trip back to Alabama Shipyard to review and refit some weapon systems. see if that works better.
end of log.

DAY 41
log ID: Aron "Biggunz" Sworsmith
opening log:
How many times do I need to tell em?! bigger is better. Damoclass seems to agree, for once. we`re in Omega 56 now, on Alabama, doing weapons test. Jake suggested installing flak turrets. we took a few for a spin. what useless crap. those shells travel at the speed of my granny, and they have less firepower than her wheelchair. if we wanna roast marshmellows on a cute green cloud I`m all for em. for everything else, no way I`ll allow em.
back to the bigger is better issue: there was a Heavy Mortar lying around on Alabama. man those things are huge. even more destructive power than our old, normal mortar. so we had it installed. took ages as the fight against the Osiris the other day bend some of the hullpanels around the barrel. and the cooling unit was fried. so after some painstaking DAYS, it was mounted.
so we launched for some fiiring tests. first blast was impressive: major legue misfire. entire cannon blown to hell. now we know why it was lying around. note to self: strange equipment dealer on Alabama.
next day another H-M was delivered from Rostock. also an oldie, but unused. back from the days the fleet was stationed there. fitting it was easy: the hole in the hull was big enough. took 2 days to mount. went for some weapon test when it was ready. good lord, what a blast. literally. you can read a book by the light that thing emits. it`s slow as hell though. and god, does it drain. never thought I`d say this but this may be a bit too much. time will tell. tommorrow we`ll head back to Delta. can`t wait to try it out on some of those self righteous Order bastards.
edit: damn. Misery somehow got his hands on a new guitar. I`ll chuck it out the airlock first chance I get.
come to think of it: it would make for some perfect target practice...
back in Delta. No combat sorties for some time now.
I don`t know why, but I`m kinda glad. I feel down a lot lately. even the explosions of corsair Dreadnoughts that go up in flames in the outer Dabadoru perimiter can`t set me at ease. I feel so...indifferent lately. I just don`t care what`s gonna happen next. I used to care, at least for my own hide. now I don`t seem to care for anything at all. maybe shooting the stuffling out of some Corsairs myself will cheer me up.
as for the Order? I dunno. and I don`t care. all that talk about nomad technology from guys like Graves and Jones... who cares about squishy guns. I just, feel too damn empty inside. getting all sentimental here, where`s my guitar?
end of log.

opening log:
ah damnit! not again! freakin`noise. AUTO CENSOR INITIATED
