How are you supposed to join a hostile faction? (not player factions)

I was building a character that I want to get into the Phantoms, but I don't know how to get rep with a faction that shoots you on sight. I got him neutral with the Rogues (Someone helped me of course) to start off his criminal career and maybe earn some money, but he can't accept any jobs. I thought of getting help, but again, how do you gain help IC from a hostile terrorist organization?

Forgive me if my ignorance is abounding.

I believe the Phantoms are a "By invitation only" organization.

And why would anyone wish to be a Phantom? They are such shy, timid, and furry creatures. I suggest you look for a truly worthy faction, such as, hmmm.... *thinking*..... there are plethora to choose from, good luck.

There is also a plethora of crappy ships.

I wanted him to join a faction that was aggressively hostile towards lawfuls, and the Phantoms have Raven Claws.

But really, how do I join hostile factions?

Only way to get your affiliation Phantom, Wild, Nomad, or Coaltion is with admin intervention.

Otherwise, bribes are quick and effective. Any faction you're thinking of specifically? If so, I can advise where you might get a bribe for them.

Yes, bribes. That helps. If I can't raise money how do I bribe? If I raise money it has to start with lawfuls, which gets me in beef with the factions I really want to join.

I'm going to need to find a list of terrorist organizations now.

Just get a good ship and guns and shoot the enemies of the faction you want to join, you get rep and make money. Simple.

Oh yeah really simple. It's really simple when I do this:

Oh look I'm trying to get more friendly with the Rogues. I find three Liberty pilots en route to Texas. I shoot them. What does this do for my rep? Well, my Liberty rep went down pretty far. My Rogues rep? Oh well, that didn't change at all.

I had a time on my Order character before he got full rep where I was sitting around Isis, killing Hunters. He was gaining no rep.

You need to shoot more than 3 people, also, doing missions is much faster once you can.
