Remember that bit about Isis where I was shooting Hunters? I shot at more than ten, probably killed something around that number.

And if shooting 3 people noticeably lowers my Liberty rep but doesn't visually dent my Rogue rep at all, it's not a good strategy in any way.

Do junker missions if you can get them. Junkers are the gateway into the unlawful world reputation wise.

Overall, the fastest way is by bribes but they cost... suggest you trade for awhile and gain a money by working up the transport lists. A few ways to go..you can go legit and gain Adv. Train, 5000 cargo hold, (ya have to work your way up to it) but ya have to join corporation or identify with lawful NPC faction, such as Krueger, Republican or others. If legit is not your speed, there is the Pirate Train, 4300 cargo hold, which allows for more flexibility, yes thats the ticket.

Also, ya can keep playing as fighter and take missions, but it is longer.....

If you're looking to be a terrorist you're repping the wrong faction. Liberty Rogues are pirates, not terrorists. Xenos are Libertys' terrorist organisation.

Hanshin, you have an incredibly hostile attitude toward the very people who are answering your questions. So let me answer your questions again and maybe you'll pay attention this time around.

First off, good to see you wanting to RP with people, and getting into a faction that "has the Raven Claw" doesn't cut it. You'll never get into Nomads, Wilde, Phantoms or (and I can say this with great authority) the Coalition. All four of these factions have admin-given reps that you can't get by flying around Sirius. No matter how many of what you shoot, you'll never get good rep with these guys

That leaves the unlawfuls that you CAN get by rep-fixing. Bribing is probably one of the fastest ways to get your rep fixed. Freeports are the best places to find unlawful bribes (those crazy zoners). Junker bases even more if your rep's OK for you to land on them.

Or do missions / kill NPCs for repfixes. Your rep with that NPC faction does go down CONSIDERABLY when you destroy them, but yes, your rep with the desired faction doesn't go up near as much, it's part of the alliance system, deal with it. Fly missions will not only give you credit for killing the enemy NPCs, but also will give you a bonus to rep upon completing that mission. Taz had a great idea about junker missions (I didn't know that myself  )

If all else fails, hire the Sirius Ship Dealers. They're pretty good from what I hear (no, i'm not one of them).

Instead of snarky comments and (lets face it) lackluster quips about the advice people are genuinely trying to give you. You've been here 3 days, not making a lot of friends.

***SPOILER***
Lastly, to make money quickly, take your newly-acquired starflyer behind Erie and mine Helium. Work your way up the ship-tree until you get a decent sized freighter (still available in Pennsylvania), and keep doing that, or start mining Silver in Colorado. You'll have 2m in no time, and can afford that ship.

Also, think about creating two characters, a trader and your desired combatant. This way one doesn't necessarily have to conflict with the other.

:(I'm sorry if I said something wrong that makes me look hostile. I'll try to word my... words... better from now on. Thank you for the help.

At Nighthawk: Yeah, I decided I wouldn't join Xenos since they don't really have any allies. But Rogues are allied with a bunch of people, so I figured it'd be a place to start. Now I know otherwise. :)

Actually, I believe when setting up the mod you can chose to have a Nomad Rep (single player and online). I haven't tried it but I know it's an option.

the online nomad rep only works on servers that you host. the discovery freelancer server has the default rep as starting

My process generally goes as follows:

Step 1: Kill lots of xenos. I find tons in Colorado. Watch your junker rep climb.
Step 2: When your junker rep is close to neutral, head to a junker base and start taking quests.
Step 3: As you kill more xenos for the junkers, other pirate factions will start to like you as you're killing their enemy.
Step 4: As soon as you move to the pirate faction of your choice, start taking missions for them. I personally stick entirely to bounty hunter killing missions, some people say it doesn't make a difference but I've got solid green rep with pirate factions I've never killed a single fighter for.
