It's good that you're gonna build a proper opinion on them. More people need to do that before they post some of the threads that have been popping up lately.
I do remember you killed a couple bombers from long range with them, though.

his gunboat turrets really bug me. that is, they bug me when i am getting them shoved up my tail pipe....when im flying at him.....

but he does need them

I hate what they did to these missles, the fail at their job and the AA missles were SO much better...

but meh, I would take the old 4.84 AA missles over flak, solaris, and these missles put together.

Bah, I HATE the idea of having slow slow slow slow missles that dont even hurt shields... IF you did make the radius bigger, then it would hurt fighters too, which is not cool.

Well the current cruiser/battleship missles are NOT missles. They're naval torpedos.

They are nearly useless for anti-fighter work (but hot DAMN if they hit .......... ) and intended to inflict heavy damage up on the hull of a target.


Personaly, I say the easiest way to do it would be to let caps mount lower class cap turrets.

Let gunboats mount transport turrets, let cruisers moung transport turrets AND gunboat turrets, letbattleships mount all of em.

It'd create some odd possibilities / dynamics of loadout and such, but could be quite intersting.

Alright, have you even thought this through?
A cruiser would be able to mount all GB razors and rape anything without sparing any energy.

A BS would mount 6 GB missiles and rape anything without using energy.

Things like that.

Yea... I've noticed this. Cruiser missiles work well for me now - but they deal no shield damage. Fortunatley, I still find I can two hit KO any bomber/fighter with them.

Then adjust the energy costs accordingly, or only have a handfull of underclass open slots for gunboat missles.

The fact is that currently, cruiser/batleship missles are useless against fighters due to slow speed and such, unless you get VERY lucky.

I think you will find that they can hit fighters/bombers. From a long range, and especially NPCs. I have fun most days killing bounty hunter NPCs with them.

And cruiser and up aint missles, theyre freakin torpedos.


Yes the range is long, but a nice short range point defence missle is sometimes all ya need. Especily if you place them in the propper arcs.
