And you guys do this every day so its easy for you. Its almost impossible to find the new version, I found it in one spot. Then to use the updater, Well i don't have one and I cant find it anywhere. I installed 4.84 first because i couldn't even find the new version. And then to get the Server Target in the shortcut for the servers to come up. Do you guys really want it to be that tough? It may seem easy but if i wasn't playing this game back when theglobalserver was about to be cut off i would have never known Its on one page, the same page i had to look it up on a few years ago. Listen, I know you try to put it all in one area but your not. Lets do that. All the Info I need to get 4.85 beta5 running.. Currently I have the beta4 but i don't have the updater, and when i coped the files manually I'm pretty sure i replace a bunch of folders that had info with empty ones. You may think its easy but really it takes hours for someone who wants to come back to get this going again, and I couldn't imagine trying to get it going the first time. Please update the download page. I'm alittle frustrated but I love this game and you guys and I want to be in space with you all! Gimmie a hand, thanks. Like I said I guess ill have to reinstall 4.85 beta4 then find the updater, or do it manually only replacing the data in the files and not the entire file. (blame that on vista) Then the new beta 5 will appear in my Mod manager, Right?

Install Freelancer, activate 4.85 Beta 4 with Freelancer Mod Manager 1.3 and then run C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\exe\DSUpdate.exe

Do not extract the mod manually, use Freelancer Mod Manager 1.3 to activate the mod.
In Vista you will need to run everything as administrator

The Udater is a an executable file in the Freelancer folder on your harddrive. I didn't manually add the link, instead I made a shortcut to the desktop. When I can't log in and the server version number is read, I back out and activate the updater which downloads the new update.

C:/Program File//Microsoft Games/Freelancer/EXE and in there you'll find DSUpate it's 132 KB application installed already.

Okay Im Re-downloading the beta 4 and Hopefully I can find the updater this time. Maybe i have to run FL first to get it? Its just that I didnt not have that Updater. Thanks allot
