1. The inferno is an outcast weapon, which does not indicate its exclusive to Outcasts in its infocard. Hence, those who are green with the Outcasts, or white (with posted forum RP) to them can use the shieldbuster.
2.
Quote:* Player factions may conduct diplomacy with other player factions to open up technology sharing in red cells of the chart. These must be approved as Special Requests prior to implementation. If the player faction represents the entire npc faction, then the technology sharing applies to anyone with the npc faction affiliation, otherwise it only applies to the player faction.
Quote:* If the infocard states that the ship/weapon is not sold outside the faction, then no one without that faction ID may use it.
From these two pieces of information from the Official Guidelines of Technology Use, I would presume the Barghest is red to every ID bar the Liberty Rogues and Mollies IDs. The only way any other factions can get them would be to have a special RP request, NOT just forum RP with the Liberty Rogues / Mollies.
3. Unfortunately, the Hessian Cruiser infocard does not state its exclusive to the Hessians. Outcasts are green with the hessians so can use their Cruiser, again this is unfortunate. Hopefully the infocard is changed, as the Hessians surely would not sell their cruiser to a faction which produces their own (superior in RP) cruiser.
hmm... though I haven't been on my outcasts for a while the only hessian cruiser in alpha that comes to my mind has a hessian background. Did you talk to its captain about it?

thanks for the ansewers guys, but i still have one question.
why do the lane hackers use the barghest, when they have their own bomber. (yes, the LH faction status says they use barghests. ) and i belive somewhere on the forum. someone wanted to use the hacker gunship/bomber(cant remember which) and was willing to "exchange" 5 barghests for five of the gunship/bomber. to which a member of the LH replied asking why the hackers would want a peice of rusting junk, when they have their own bomber.
yet some of the heckers use barghests.

It's good to know what ships a faction to use, but is there a chart that indicates what ships belong to which faction? What would be defined as a strictly civilian ship and a Liberty civilian ship? Does the deep space explorer have a specific faction even when its info card states it is widely used by civilians?
I think everyone can use any ship (Minus Nomads and Phantoms) with the right amount of RP. It is entirely possible for an Outcast to obtain a Liberty gunboat through deceitful methods; it just has to be RPed very well and explained in a thorough manner.
As I said before, is there a chart for which ships and tech belong to which factions?
"THE HULL HAS BEEN BREACHED AND THESCIENCEIS LEAKING OUT!"
Special RP can be used to overcome the restrictions, yet the RP should come before the want for a ship/weapon.
I've seen this chart three times. What I'm looking for is the specific names of ships and weapons that fall into faction categories. It's common logic that the Falcata is an Outcast ship. It's common logic that house military ships are house ships. Other ships are not as easy to place in a categorie unless you look at their infocard.
"THE HULL HAS BEEN BREACHED AND THESCIENCEIS LEAKING OUT!"
why does the official lane hacker faction(the LH~) use the barghest? 9i can understand useing it before they got their own bomber, but now it makes no sense. and, as far as i know, the hackers have no forum Rp to use the barghest(i think i am wrong here, but i would like a linkto it if it exsists) and if the only reason they are using it is to"Have a better bomber". then i think something needs to change.
