This is my Tracert to the server.

What troubles me is lines 7 and 8. the pings between these two routers almost doubles.

and they are in the same network. Is there any way to route around these two routers?

Pre-Edit: Yes, I am from Little Rock.

We need 600m/s and 700m/s Debilitators.

Yes, they are on the "same" network, but if you look closely at the server names you can figure out where they are.(Network guys use meaningful, if often cryptic looking, names)

Lets follow your packets.

over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 10 ms 1 ms 2 ms 192.168.1.254 (your internal network IP adress)
2 10 ms 10 ms 10 ms adsl-99-36-207-254.dsl.ltrkar.sbcglobal.net [99.36.207.254] (your internet IP address)
3 10 ms 10 ms 10 ms dist2-vlan60.ltrkar.sbcglobal.net [151.164.64.147] (your ISP's IP address)
4 11 ms 11 ms 10 ms bb2-g1-3-0.ltrkar.sbcglobal.net [151.164.64.231] (Little Rock, AR)
5 27 ms 26 ms 27 ms ppp-151-164-39-96.rcsntx.swbell.net [151.164.39.96] (your ISP's ISP) (Richardson, Texas)

Heres's where you have to look closely

6 29 ms 28 ms 28 ms chi-bb1-geth6-3-4-0.telia.net [213.248.84.9] (Chicago, IL)
7 52 ms 57 ms 83 ms nyk-bb2-pos7-1-0.telia.net [213.248.80.73] (New York , NY)
8 119 ms 118 ms 121 ms ldn-bb2-pos7-1-0.telia.net [213.248.65.93] (London, England)
9 133 ms 136 ms 135 ms hbg-bb2-link.telia.net [80.91.250.222] (Hamburg, Germany)
10 149 ms 148 ms 148 ms prag-b1-link.telia.net [80.91.252.89] (Prague, Czech Republic)
11 148 ms 148 ms 148 ms dial-telecom-ic-119836-prag-b1.c.telia.net [80.239.193.38] (Prague, Czech Republic)

Now it filters through the Local ISP's before reaching the server

12 156 ms 154 ms 318 ms prg-asbr2-kkk-ten1-4.dialtelecom.cz [82.119.246.30]
13 152 ms 152 ms 154 ms prg-76kkk-ten2-1.dialtelecom.cz [82.119.246.25]
14 155 ms 153 ms 152 ms metroluzna-ge-1-1-1.dialtelecom.cz [82.119.245.134]
15 153 ms 158 ms 154 ms hcn-48-5.hanspaul-city.net [82.113.48.5]
16 158 ms 160 ms 156 ms hcn-48-5.hanspaul-city.net [82.113.48.5]

Trace complete.

So the the reason for the ping increase between hops 7 and 8 is in fact. . .The Atlantic Ocean, so no, it cannot be routed around.
when it comes to networks, just because to routers are in the "same network" doesn't mean they are in the same building. Especially in the case of the internet, the routers can not only be in different buildings, but different countries. . . and still be in the same network.

I hope this helps you understand what is going on, and where the packets go before reaching the server

If you have any follow up questions I can try and answer them as well

There might be a faster line across the atlantic. I figured that's what it was. Anyone else in the US have less than a 150 ping who can post me a tracert? I might be able to pass all traffic through that router to the server.

We need 600m/s and 700m/s Debilitators.
